LS/NVA Drama

Girl parents don't understand how incredibly dull girls and womens sports are because that is all you see. No one except their parents want to watch that.

Precisely why other club parents hate LS parents. Arrogant and closed minded

Why so much D3 hate? I would be thrilled if my kid- boy or girl, played soccer at williams/amherst. Or another non D1 school like Yale.

Your son probably sucks. There aren’t more boys players because people want to watch boys soccer. There are more boys players because more boys choose to play soccer. You’re an idiot. He might get recruited to play division three soccer. He will not be a professional. If he is not at a real MLS Academy then he’s not going to division one. Real MLS Academy is at an MLS club. Not a youth soccer club playing in the same league.

Here is another parent who's obsessed with titles.. Oh Division I, II, II... MLS Next, MLS Academy, GA.... relax man. You say your daughter is going to have a choice to play anywhere, Division I. She's one tackle away from never playing again. Let the kids play soccer and learn daily on the training field rather than running around trying to collect patches for these different leagues so you can brag about it at work because you think that makes you a better parent.

If you're lucky enough your daughter will make it pro and make $30,000 a year and work at Target to survive. chilllllllll man

My DD will be U12 soon, so this is not urgent, but I do have a question. Will LS remain affiliated with NVA since there are no other affiliations? Why is LSP being sold? Will Bolen be the home?

NVA and LS are staying together
LSP is being sold because it's hard to turn down $4 MILLIONS when Loudoun County has so many parks available for LS to play.
Bolen will be one of the homes I'm sure

Yale University's soccer programs are NCAA Division I. I'm not having a go at you. This is just informational.

NO I'm with you... There is a lot of hate for D3 by people who have no idea what it takes and how certain programs are run. Not to mention there are so many women's programs who are only there because of Title IX
My daughter played Division I soccer, half of those girls shouldn't be Division I athletes but it's slim pickings

No not Revolution and No Data Center either... But if it was a Data Center, they would get even more money for it.

They sold LSP and Loudoun United to pay for MLSNext and a new facility. Land is way too expensive and LSP is a garbage turf/poorly maintained park. They are buying land and building up a location to rival Raventek is what I was told my a wife of an admin.

Loudoun Soccer Club did not sell Loudoun United, they never owned the club. Loudoun County has great fields and a lot of them. Club will play at LSP until 2028 I believe, a lot can happen in 3 years.

your kid still needs to get into the school. So most kids are not looking at those schools, they look at Roanoke College or some other school that has maybe the same amount of kids at your high school. And these schools aren't good schools. Most kids in this area are smarter than the school they can get recruited to play for.

Doesn't matter what their goal is or why. The girls want to play soccer.

Everyone understands the revenue is higher for boys and men sports. That didn't stop many of the other clubs from staying with ECNL. But LS/NVA should be more honest about why they made the move to MLSN/GA.

As for the parents of girls in LS/NVA, you can stay loyal to a club who is not loyal to your girls, because, afterall, "boys sports brings in more revenue, so it was the smart thing to do".
