Are you putting all your friends through a political-purity test right now?

The reality is, I don’t invite rapists to my birthday party. If you’re gonna turn that around and say I’m not open minded because I didn’t invite a rapist to my birthday party you really gotta think about your moral stance on reality.

So people who voted for Trump are...rapists?

I didn't vote for him, I abhor him. But your analogy makes sense only to say that you wouldn't invite Trump to your birthday party.

People who voted for him, voted for a rapist.

The reality is your morals and my morals do not align. It’s fine you’re different than me.

I don’t wanna be your friend, I suspect you don’t wanna be my friend.

BFD why do you care? I can’t be friends with everybody

+1000

No, we’re cutting off relatives because they’re racist and drug addicts.

Then why didn't you cut them off BEFORE the election?

I did. I cut off a friend for cheating on her husband and using me as an alibi. I cut off a friend in college. It was just mean and awful to everybody, even though we had been friends since kindergarten. I caught off my drunk brother. He would show up at my house knocking on the door midnight and I had little kids sleeping.

Stop attending family parties when I found out one family member was a pedophile who abused another family member.

I cut off terrible people all the time throughout my whole life.

And now I’m cutting off people that vote for rapists. It’s nothing new to me. I cut off horrible people.

I’m a mature adult and can handle political differences between friends and family. I think it’s more interesting to figure out why the person believes what they do. The vast majority of my friends and family don’t support Trump but the ones that do are actually good people. I judge how they personally treat others not what they claim to “believe”.

If you don’t understand the views of the other side, you can’t be an effective advocate for your own views. The world is not black and white. It is many shades of gray. However, the us v. them mentality and litmus test is a prime example of the intolerance that most liberals have and complain about in conservatives.

It is what they do.

Democrats talk about people, rights, making a living, treating people with respect and dignity, and of course, the constitution.

Interesting.

The Democrats do very little other than talk, while the Republicans actually do something.

- depressed Democrat

What have they actually done?

Exactly as I expected, nothing.

"It's inconceivable!" "I do not think you know what this word means".
In this case I don't think you know what the definition of fascist means.
It amazes me how democrats and liberals have turned to defending big government. They have gone so far to the left that they now are more worried about "the party" or "the government" than they are the people.
They now remind me of the communist revolution in China and how they imprisoned or executed anyone who spoke out against the government.
How on earth can you justify not investigating waste? It's because most of the people in this area are part of the machine. Your livelihood depends on it. you livelihoods depend on other peoples money.
Just go to any bar in DC and ask what people do. One of the biggest answers is "I work for an NGO" or "I work for a non-profit".
You people are the disease...and we are finally cutting out this disease.

Trump is part of “the government”.

The Federal Civilian workforce is part of “the People”.

Hope this helps, Comrade.

Trump didn’t create project 2025. You’re not very bright.

He didn’t create it but it’s becoming the playbook for each agency.

It's like you can't even read. Look, I'm so upset about what's been happening that I cried almost every day last week. I see our country crumbling and my friends I used to work with are having their lives turned upside down. My old boss resigned rather than being assigned to be a border cop - he's a lawyer with 40 years of experience and I feel like my old agency is falling apart. But your analogy doesn't make sense and you're shooting at people who are on your side. Maybe rethink your approach. But you're right, I don't want to be friends with you, and it's because you think you're morally superior to me without knowing anything about me.

Look, I agree with you about what’s going on. But to cut off relationships with people who simply don’t care is also a level of ignorance.

Have you ever considered the condescending snide superiority from people like you when you go back home, are on social media, or just interacting with people who are different than you (all in the name of inclusion) is collectively what has caused a huge amount of the resentment from the “burn it all down” crowd?

I don’t know why people keep saying this…I have friends across the country who are following politics and have cut off friends and family - I know plenty of Trumpsters who have cut people off too. If people don’t care as you say, that’s another reason to cut ties. If you’re not paying attention, you’re the problem. There are tens to hundreds of thousands of workers in every state.

It’s honestly you who doesn’t make sense! I am not willing to countenance someone who voted for s convicted and unapologetic rapist. He11, I’ve felt that way since the p-grabbing tape. I cannot maintain a meaningful connection with someone who endorses that man with a vote.

Yeah, the “purity test” was a dead giveaway.

I stand by my opinion that the self-described liberal, open-minded and progressive types are
actually the most discriminatory and prejudiced.
