I mean close to 1/2 at Penn and 1 in 4 at the other Ivies? That is better vs legacy status or athletes. Guess that will end now that DEI and wokeness is done? These universities should reflect the population of the country and stop with the favoritism. |
Yes! |
Well, some donāt want to waste an opportunity for outrage and to blame Jews for yet another thing they donāt actually control. |
I mean Harvard is kind of acting like that. Though Iād just say straight up Liberty. No need to smear the good name of Purdue. |
You're right. |
Well every news story says she was forced to resign because of antisemitism. |
She is saying it was racism, not antisemitism. I guess she's saying that jewish hedge fund guy and those donors are racist? Or that the Board is? |
The firing of Dr Gay from her administrative position at Harvard University, like that of Dr Magill from the University of Pennsylvania, was not a triumph of right-wing activity. Rather, from the mendacious questioning in Congress through the explicit marshaling of billionaire donors, the effort all along was to rule out of order any consideration of criticism of Israel by American universities.
The evidence for this is overwhelming: the questioning in Congress conflated any support for the rights of Palestinians as "support for genocide"; the billionaire movement condemning all three testifying university administrators for providing boiler-plate defense of First-Amendment-protected free speech was targeted, not only at the administrators, but even more on students who had signed a petition which the billionaires found offensive. |
You're lying through your teeth. |
Can you provide a link to President Obamaās defense of Claudine Gay? I googled and did not find one. |
It was reported he lobbied several Board members on her behalf, not that he wrote some oped sonewhere. |
Since when was oped spelled d e f e n s e? |
