Defense claims “tampered”, prosecutors claim “annotated”. Regardless, Made changes is accurate. https://abcnews.go.com/amp/US/hunter-biden-trial-gun-charges-attorneys-plan-defend/story?id=110723466 |
Not really. The form asks if you are “addict” or “have an addiction”. Did Hunter think of himself as an addict at that time or just somebody who used drugs? The prosecution is going to have to prove the former. Very gray area. of course if the jury decides to acquit or is hung, MAGA heads will explode. |

Correct. His defense is going to argue that Hunter had just completed an 11-day rehabilitation program and lived with a sober companion and believe he was not a present tense user or addict. Very grey (and weak) argument from the prosecution. |
Good grief. And, the store clerk testified that the question at hand.... whether Hunter checked that he was not an addict.... was done by him. And, he testified that is was. Lowell is reaching with this accusation. I guess he has to do whatever he can to defend someone where there is a ton of evidence against him. Here is the pertinent passage: Lowell has, for example, latched onto revelations in court that two copies exist of the federal gun form at the heart of the case, called an ATF Form 4473. A shop employee created the original document when Hunter Biden purchased the firearm in 2018. It lists Biden's passport as the ID he presented to the shop employee. Years later, however, a copy was made. The copy included a handwritten note, "DE Vehicle Registration," on a line left blank for "Supplemental Government Issued Documentation." Store employees did so in 2021 to rectify a requirement that gun buyers present a form of ID that includes an address, which passports do not. Lowell contends that gun store employees "tampered with" the document, and that it raises questions about "who wrote what on the form, and when." Weiss' office has said the gun shop employees merely "annotated" the document. But they took Lowell's argument seriously enough to re-interview the gun store owner, Ronald Palimere, on May 16. |
No “good grief.” The gun owner was granted immunity for selling the gun without proper identification. Im no fan of HB, just pointing out where the store owner messed up (and broke the law but he’s absolved from that since he’s helping nail President Biden’s son.) |
Seems pretty relevant to the credibility of the prosecution witness that he altered the form after the fact. Hunter should get to cross examine him on that point. Maybe the jury will still believe him, but it’s highly relevant and clear error to exclude it. |
They took it seriously enough to submit the document as a black and white copy instead of the color version that shows what was filled out post-hoc. |
That’s not true, and there’s not usually so much evidence that the person lied as this case has. |
Illegally acquiring a weapon is not a victimless crime. |
It was so abnormal that it fell apart under standard questioning by the judge. Stop the gaslighting. |
See, here's the thing: if Hunter Biden is convicted, he'll go to jail (or get probation, who knows). There will be no storming of the Capitol, no threats to indict DAs for....something, no screaming about the "weaponization of the DOJ".
And I won't vote for Hunter Biden. |
Meanwhile Jill Biden's 3,600-mile round trip from France to Delaware to spend two days at Hunter's trial could cost up to $345,000... and taxpayers could be on the hook for a huge bill |
