There were many incidents of vandalism and harrassment and looting. There were also peaceful protests. The latter is just fine, the former was lawless --the beginning of the era of lawlessness IMO. |
So much revisionist history from BLM riots and COVID. We kept the receipts though: https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/verify/150-local-federal-officers-injured-during-dc-protests-verify/65-8fdaf04e-df2e-47d0-abd6-a47017a699f8 |
| Reading this re-animated thread on a 33 with a guy talking loudly to himself at the back of the bus… |
But "guy talking loudly to himself at the back of the bus" isn't exactly a new phenomenon |
| Smashed up abandoned car at the corner of Albemarle and 40th next to Wawa this am, right at rush hour, Just right in the middle of the road. Tenleytown is becoming a sideshow. |
| There was a post on Reddit today from a 14-year-old girl warning people about a guy jacking off in the Tenley McDonalds. |
19 people were murdered and thousands of officer seriously injured, all while there was over $1 BILLION in property damage (largely from arson) all fomented by: BLM There were so many riots. Why are you lying, PP ? |
This should result in arrest. Did anyone notify the police? |
Really in DC? Nationally even - do you have a citation? Did you know that more incidents of violence and vandalism were initiated by MAGA ass clowns than BLM protesters, including specificallyn in DC? |
Right and that article proves rather than disproves my point - none of the stores that were cited in this piece as having been looted were in areas where there were BLM protests which was the case in my neighborhood where we had no BLM protests but two different stores were looted though even that is not really accurate - in both instances organized criminals broke in and targeted the pharmacies and otherwise left the rest of the stores untouched so it really wasn't looting in any sense of the word. I get it - it scared you even though I doubt you even live in DC or spend much time there - but it really wasn't a big deal. |
Interesting that people have decided that the protests against police violence were what kicked off "the era of lawlessness" rather than, say, the year and a half of complete disruption to normal society and the economy from the pandemic (which obviously spanned the entire duration of the BLM protest). |
The Council is going to decriminalize this next. |
| The pervert vagrant is still lurking at night in the Wells Fargo ATM lobby @ Cathedral commons shopping center on Wisconsin. This is months after his exposing himself to female customers was brought to the attention of Mr Frumin and the MPD commander at a well attended community meeting. Why is DC too inept even to deal with this?? |
It wasn’t so much BLM protestors who were the problem. It’s BLM founders and leaders who converted what they claimed was a nonprofit into a criminal scheme for personal enrichment. Of course, DC street thugs happily seized on the BLM woke war on police to ramp up their criminal activity without fear of penalties. |
People's behavior makes perfect sense if they have a DIFFERENT GOAL than you do, PP. Ineptitude is a deflective presumption. Of course this individual could have been arrested, had a ban order issued, etc. Yet, he is allowed to continue to commit sex crimes, as other crime also continues unabated. In what used to be a safe part of town, in part of a high end development. If it's not that they are inept, what is your conclusion? |
