+2 It is interesting because their accounts are so disparate, one is definitely lying. I, for one, am not sure which one. There is a lot of extraneous info about both of them that shouldn't factor into the decision but sure seems to at least in terms of the DCUM jury.

It’s a circus! With 2 clowns 🤡 🤡.

I had not heard about this before. If true, she is either incredibly reckless or has really bad luck. I ski at least 30 days/year and have never come close to colliding with someone. I can't imagine having it happen twice.

Or under the influence?

Deer Valley is posh but their arrangement is next level.

I think it was 4 instructors - one per kid. I’m surprised she wasn’t at Yellowstone, deer valley is posh as you say, but Yellowstone is posher! No riff raff there.

Maybe they wanted to ski in America. I think he is trying to scam Paltrow. When you doing risky things you have to be aware that you could be hurt. He wouldn't do this if she wasn't who she was. I hope he has to pay her lawyers.

Oh genius, not only are you dead wrong but you don’t think YS is in America?

Ok I thought you were referring to a place in France called "yellowstone" I've never skied in either place and I quickly googled it and this is what I found: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g1315378-d1889600-Reviews-Yellowstone_Ski_Lodge-Sainte_Foy_Tarentaise_Savoie_Auvergne_Rhone_Alpes.html

So of course I know that Yellowstone is a famous National park but, maybe you didn't know that there is another Yellowstone, Genius?

I wrote the original post referring to Yellowstone, I’m not the one who made the insults. It’s the Yellowstone club near big sky as others have clarified- private ski resort and the more I think about it, I’m even more surprised she didn’t go there in the first place. Technically you have to own to ski there, but she’s gwyneth, I’m sure it would have been easy for her. And just a note on the ski instructors - many of the instructors are part time and do this as a side hustle and/or to get free passes for their family. They are only required to teach for 20 days a season. The more seasoned veterans would have gotten the cushy private lessons over the newbies, who have to teach group lessons to toddlers who are barely potty trained. Instructors get paid like $20-30 an hour, but they are intensely pressured to make their clients happy at deer valley. I mean, they just hired a guy from Disney with no ski experience to run the resort- that’s how seriously they take pleasing their guests.

I am the pp. I have skied deer valley and my in-laws treated. My three old learned to ski there but it wasn't a group lesson. It was an hour private lesson. Rest of the time he played in the daycare. Why shouldn't GP ski there? How would she know an ass would ski into her and then sue her years later?

Team GP

Eh, I don't see her trying to go to the Yellowstone Club (although at this point maybe she wishes she did.) YC is for two types of people - those who really love to ski and appreciate the extra good snow and no lines and celebrities who value their privacy and just want to be left alone. I don't really see her fitting into either of these categories.

Oh he's traveled the world, doing all kinds of active things (white water rafting and so on), since the incident. Drank heavily right after the accident, scored high on narcissism and low on empathy in his neuropsych eval etc. His doc said he tends to overreport symptoms. Reiterated his daughters saying he's always been aggressive and reactive.

That and the medical experts described his lengthy history, predating the collision, not lining up with his claims, and indicative of dementia. He’s not going to be able to blame it all on the ski accident.

I’ve seen and remember any crashes and even skier positions just from random runs each year, they are rare and you clock and crash or wipe out. It’s also very hard to disengage faster than someone can clock it. So why isn’t GP having eyewitnesses galore? Because it didn’t happen the way she said

I thought it was a little crazy too but apparently both sides had limited time - the judge didn't want this going on forever. So the defense put their eggs in the expert medical witness basket instead rather than wasting time calling up a bunch of people to say they didn't actually see anything.

You all do realize medical experts are paid witnesses by one or the other side and will inevitably support that side.

Like of course he killed her while sleepwalking

Then I guess that's what most jurors are or else they wouldn't do it. Tell us what you thought of it today since I'm sure you listened very intently.

If he had run into her she would have been crying about it in the media on day 1. This is a event development. I flat out do not believe her kids.

I don’t have time to listen to that crap. I’ve learnt everything I needed to from NYT and listening to the 3 min snippet of her testimony
