Or maybe they’ve been entirely honest with APS and there’s some type of custodial thing that makes what they’re doing perfectly fine. I’m just not sure the links to MD tell the full story.

That’s my question, too. I assume the mom is a total opportunist looking for $$$, but surely someone has actually investigated whatever loophole she’s exploiting, right? I don’t doubt it stinks and grifters gonna grift, but I do have a hard time believing that it’s a cut and dried case of blatant residency fraud.

No. No one is speculating. It was discussed upthread (and maybe deleted since this thread lost about 10 pages) but Keisha and her relatives run a large daycare in Clarendon where many APS kids have gone for pre-K since at least 2010 or so (it’s sometime before that, but that’s when our kid went there). We’ve all known her and her kids for years. She’s nice enough, the boy also (though we knew him at a younger age).

The thing is, no one really cared. Fine, you live in Maryland and use your aunt’s address for better schools. Then, OK, we see you’re also using it for Arlington parks and rec resources (sports, classes, etc.). Fine again. We’ve never been anything but kind, and I’ve only seen the same from others.

But now she’s SUING THE DISTRICT FOR 10 MILLION DOLLARS of our money because Sydney had to play a completely idiotic game with every other kid about sticking cotton balls to your nose? Give me a F’ing break. That’s why people are annoyed. She was always grifting and taking advantage, whatever, small stakes. This changes things.

Anyway, I’m 100% certain she couldn’t care less, this is a woman with no pride, no integrity, no shame whatsoever.

To me this really begs the question; why entrust your babies and toddlers to someone with this character? Especially more recently?

Well it’s not like affordable childcare grows on trees.

Ok. I’m 22:42, and I was legit just wondering if it is really that blatant. It boggles my mind that any attorney would attach their name to a case so fraught with ick. WTAF?!

+1 My thoughts exactly.

This case has reminded me of this story from 2020:
https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/26/us/mimi-groves-jimmy-galligan-racial-slurs.html

Synopsis:
Mimi Groves was kicked off the University of Tennessee cheer team due to a viral video of her using a racial slur. Backlash on social media led UT to pressure Groves to withdraw from the university as well.

Mimi was 15 in the video taken during her freshman year of high school. Classmate Jimmy Galligan received the video of Groves from a friend three years later during their senior year. Galligan held onto the video until Groves got accepted into college a year later. At the height of the Black Lives Matter movement, he published the video. “I wanted to get her where she would understand the severity of that word,” he told the New York Times.

I think you’re going to have to spell out how this case resembles the NYT story.

I think PP is implying Arlington families have known about Keisha’s residency fraud and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to expose her.

Except… that’s not what’s happening at all. No one was waiting for the right time to inflict maximum pain on her. It seems unlikely anyone would have ever called her out if she didn’t demand TEN MILLION DOLLARS from a school system she’s already stealing (yes, stealing!) from.

The only place the question of their residency is happening is here. Nobody else knows there's a need to confirm or deny anything!

Well kind of humorous thinking about it given the situation, but she wasn't one of the caregivers, she was in charge of the tuition payments. The school is actually a very nurturing place and the kids are well prepared for Kindergarten when they leave.

And virtually all Arlington daycares have a very long waitlist; the families at this school need full time daycare. Some of us did leave after an incident at the daycare that the administration did not handle well.

Ha - of course she was! And I bet the place is not cheap, and the family is doing very well.

Don't hold your breath.
My money is on it not happening.

They can't stonewall the question. All Fraud needs to be investigated. She lives in Maryland. Her car is registered in MD, her voter registration is in MD.

She's gonna get it. A handful of us on our bock wrote Miyares. Lets see what that does. He's not going to take a hit for this clown.

How do you know she lives in MD, car registered there and voter registration there?

and even if she does maybe the father is an Arlington resident?

JFC. Read the thread moron.

It’s a reach to assume the woman isn’t a resident and even if she isn’t, that doesn’t make it okay for Arlington County Public Schools to sanction a hate crime that has had a negative impact on her kids life.

how do you know this?

Because white pages has her in Falls Church and Greenbelt. Beyoytch is too dumb to have anticipated this. I love it.

DP.... its a well known "secret" for those that work with her.

Yeah, guess it wasn’t enough to get free day care, scam APS out of free education for her out of district kids, scam Arlington rec programs out of free sports and classes. Now she wants $10 million on top of it.

Well why isn’t anyone doing anything about it? Seems straightforward to me - send her a property tax bill for her MD-tagged car, and when she says she doesn’t live in Arlington, use it as proof of residency fraud.

All of this stuff costs $ - taxpayer money that is being taken away from our kids. If she wasn’t defrauding the system, I wouldn’t have to pay for her fraudulent lawsuit.

Who’s going to do anything?

It is the formal, stated policy of the Arlington government to ignore even violent crime if it is committed by a black person. You think anyone in a position of authority is going to stand up to this woman? Clearly not.

Private individuals? If you have a job or profile of any kind you’ll be branded a racist and lose your career and/or your reputation if you criticize a POC.

We all know she is a lazy crook, but to her credit her grift is perfectly calibrated to our current cultural moment and all the white liberal dummies around here. She is going to get paid for this. Not 10 million but something. My guess is once she gets her settlement check it’ll be off to California to get in on that bubbling $1.2 million reparations payment for every black resident.

That bubbling payment should be issued a long nation wide and even though it’s a start, it really should be more.

This scammer should be prosecuted and forced to repay reparations to the county for scamming tax dollars. There is nothing racist with the cotton ball game. These people are always looking to scam they will get caught and do it over and over again unless you stand firm, prosecute and expell. She's stealing all your tax money and scamming. 100% she's scamming state and federal taxes on her illegal daycare as well.

Posters like you are the reason so many folks question the validity of 'hate crime' charges. Grow the f*ck up.
