Good restaurant with kids Gaithersburg/Bethesda -ish?

Anonymous
I have friends in town with two kids ages 8 and 2.5. They're staying in Gaithersburg and we're looking for a place up in that direction to meet for dinner. I live in DC and don't have kids so I'm kind of at a loss in terms of what to recommend.

Thanks for any suggestions you might have.

Kind of random but I love this place:

I take my toddler there. They have a kids menu with kids dosas that are huge and delicious. Kind of hole in the wall but in a clean way. It is an indian place slash bakery. So you can follow up your meal with a fresh slice of cake or cookies.

It is a very casual place though, you order at the counter...

Is Rio a specific restaurant or a plaza with several different places?

Got it, thanks.

On a Friday night at the Rio you will wait forever for a table at many of the restaurants and many don't take reservations. Copper canyon and cafe deluxe take reservations so you might try those.
