Bullis showed yesterday they will likely be the team to beat from the DMV next season with their 2025 class.

By barely beating a GZ team that was playing a bunch of Sophomores and Freshman who haven’t played much?

Bullis has talent but they aren’t a smart or well coached team. Too many dumb turnovers.

If offered he should

I don’t get the fascination with Ince. He lost the Championship game for them by going away from Draley and Offuit in the 3Q. Started the ball down low to start the 2H and GZ got out to a big lead. Then went back to starting with the middies up top and they came back. SJC offense most of the year wasn’t nearly as good as they should have been.

Almost any coach would be good with the horses they have had the last few years. If he can recruit to DM, then that’s a huge part of it. And I guess it makes sense. But he’s not a great offense coach.

DeMatha is a hard place to recruit kids to from Bethesda / Chevy Chase / Potomac / Rockville crowd.

Whoever the new coach is, they needs to lure families from Bowie, Crownsville, Crofton snd Davidsonville area who are heading up to Spalding these days.

Exactly. Those kids in Montgomery Co. are not going to go to Dematha.

Agree. That team has some top talent (and some who think they are top talent), but lack accountability, which is coaching.

They will likely be the team to beat next spring in the DC area

Surprised they put 15 on Culver. Nobody has done that all season long.

Close D is a trio going to Hopkins, Duke and Maryland. Culver goalie is reportedly 21yrs old headed to UVA. There are 27 committed players according to IL.

GZ scored 10 earlier this year at home. Looks like max GA was 11 by boarding factory, Western Reserve Academy and Malvern Prep. Malvern is best team I've seen in person this year.

PVI or Independence HS is VA

I give PVI 3 and Indy 1.

Landon - 3
Prep - 3
GZ - 2
Bullis - 2
SJC - 5
EH - 1
SSSAS - 1
SA - 1

SJC is probably accurate, but the others will definitely have more.

Don’t be surprised if the 2026 recruiting numbers are low. The transfer portal has completely changed recruiting as we know it. Coaches this weekend were still looking at 2025s.

I was impressed with what Dave Mitchell accomplished there when he was in driver's seat.

Played Landon to a goal last year and SJC to one goal this year....totally outgunned at every position save that one (Penn St) attackman.

Very difficult to eval 2026 when they are playing against boys 2-3 years older. Coaches are waiting for summer tournaments for that exercise.

The reality is the best 2026 players can play and compete with boys who are 2 - 3 years older than them.

Getting recruited is getting harder as the gsme grows and the transfer portal is not going away.
