Re-heating cous cous

Anonymous
How do I do this so it doesn't dry out?

When I first make it, the cous cous is perfect. Then the next day, I microwave some in a bowl and it's dry and I get the sads.
Suggestions?

Sprinkle a little water over it before you microwave it (covered). Once the microwave is done, let it steam in the bowl for a couple minutes, then fluff with a fork and eat.

Definitely cover the bowl. Are you using pearl couscous or regular?

I put it in a bowl, take a paper towel that is bigger than the bowl, get it wet so that is dripping, squeeze just enough out so that it is not dripping (you want plenty of moisture), then drape it over the bowl to microwave. Be careful when you take the towel off, it should be scalding hot. That usually makes enough moisture to steam reheat the cous-cous. This also works for reheating other grains in the microwave as well.

Put in about 1 teaspoon of water for every cup of cous cous. Make sure you heat it up enough that the water steams.
