| We're expecting a baby girl and have already decided she's going to be named after my mom, Janine. It's not a name I would have otherwise chosen but it's meaningful and we're set on it - the baby will go by Janie. I'm stumped on a middle name, though! Other first names we liked before we decided were Lucy, Elizabeth (Libby), Eloise, and Claire, but none of those sound right with our one-syllable, very common last name. You guys are great at this, so give me your best suggestions! |
| Not your maiden name, but any other nice sounding last names in either of your family trees? I think Janine would sound very nice with one. |

Janine Chloe Smith
Janie Chloe? maybe to -ee Janine Sloane Janine Maeve |
| Elaine |
|
Janine Elizabeth Smith
Janine Eloise Smith Both of those work fine for me. Also, I like Janine. Also, David Bowie! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RArfYyBW2E |
| Louise is rather like some of the ones you listed but a bit longer which seems to be the cadence you want. |

I would pick a name that lends itself to a cute double barrelled nickname.
Janine Elizabeth/Janie Beth |
| Rose |

Janine is a beautiful name!
I personally like the way it sounds with a longer middle name since your last name is short: Janine Elizabeth Janine Isabella Janine Lucinda |

Janine Anne
Janine Grace Janine May |
