I found it while cleaning my closet last night - totally forgot I owned it. It's from J Crew, medium wash, hits just above the knee. My gut says toss it, but my heart wants to keep it.
If it matters, I'm late 30s and in good shape with a classic style that borders on boring. |
| Toss |
| Definitely toss. Can't remember I saw anybody wearing a denim skirt. |
| ^^Can't remember *the last time* |

Remember, everything old becomes new and fashionable again. There will be a time, maybe 5 years, maybe a decade or two from now, where you will wonder: "why did I throw out that perfectly good denim pencil skirt?!"
Your call on whether to lighten your closet. But the skirt will become relevant again... one day. |
| Wear it. |
| Wear it with the latest boots. |
| I wore one last weekend, I'm bringing it back! |
| They're definitely still in. I would keep. You can wear with boots in the fall! |

I have a denim skirt. Not exactly pencil, but not flared, and does hit just above knee. Dark wash with something like cargo-style pockets on the side. (I know I'm doing a horrific job describing it.)
I usually wear it paired with some boots. I get compliments every time I wear it. Every time. |
| The Duggar girls wear those. |
Skirts that hit above the knee? No they don't. |

Wear it with a tucked in patterned silky shirt and new booties.
will look adorable. Do not wear with tall boots- will look dated. |
| If it looks good on you keep it! |
