Same old Republican tactic: projection. Republicans seem to think that if they accuse the opposition strongly enough that the public will believe that the Democrats have a problem and hide the fact that the Democrats don't have the problem, but the Republicans do. In this case, Trump is the one that can't speak coherently without a teleprompter. The last 6 months have been riddled with weird rambling speeches. He's talked about sharks and batteries and Hannibel Lechter. He's said that his speeches on the National Mall were bigger than MLK. He's littered his speeches with random anecdota many of which only exist in his mentally declining mind. He is nearly 80 after all, so his mind drifts into senior fogs and he comes out with random thoughts. The problem with Trump is that even when you give him a good speech on a teleprompter, that he refuses to follow the teleprompter and will then just ramble on. Republicans are seriously thinking that this nearly 80 old year man who has been rapidly declining for the last 4 years is seriously the person that they want to be holding discussions with foreign nations and foreign leaders. What if he has one of his senior moments when he has to make a critical decision as Commander-in-Chief. At a time when his peers are looking for conditions to age in place, looking for senior aides to help them with daily living and basic decisions, we are trying to put this person into the White House? To quote a famous line: Inconceivable. |
Good read from the EU version of Politico.
Seems many EU lesders who were quoted were not impressed at all with Harris. https://www.politico.eu/article/kamala-harris-europe-us-election-joe-biden-democratic-party/ It gets good about 1/2 way down. So No, she is not good o the world stage. But keep telling yourself that if it makes yo feel better. |
There’s no way Kamala is going to win.
Many black people are angry about the migrant freebies and decriminalizing illegal entry to border hoppers while she locked black people including veterans for traffic violations, marijuana smokers in California, or truancy mothers with sick kids or kids getting bullied by gangs who couldn’t attend public school for valid reasons. Many Jewish people are mad about her snubbing Netanyahu and the current administration’s tepid support of Israel. Many Arab Americans are upset about Biden going on vacation and being unbothered by making a deal to stop this war. They seem to think as racist as Trump may be, if he makes a deal (any deal), at least the war will stop. These three groups typically vote in high numbers for Democrats which is why I named them specifically. If she loses at least 5% from each, she loses the election. |
The election is going to be about far more than Roe v Wade which was always a state issue and “democracy on the ballot” (Kamala was unelected via primary) |
The scare tactics about Trump fall flat with most Americans. Trump isn’t as scary as having an empty White House right now while on the verge of WW3 which we are right now.
Trump has lots of messes to fix |
Immigration, crime, economy, and public education are driving factors. |
I'm a RINO Independent, and I feel the opposite. I feel that there is no way that Trump can win. Harris would likely lose to most other Republicans, but Trump will never return to the White House. He might have had a chance if RvW had not been overturned, but that was the last straw. After RvW, there is no way that he will return to the White House. Youth voters have been turning out in record numbers. More women are turning away from the Republican ticket or will be voting in secret to hide their votes from their MAGA husbands. Minorities are turning away from Trump. And the straw that broke the camel's back was the horrifically bad selection of Vance as VP. All in all, I think that Harris will end up with probably 5 out of 7 swing states. I think NV, GA and AZ are the only ones that Trump has a chance to win and I think that AZ is going to go for Harris. So really only GA and NV are likely to go for Trump. A majority of the nation is done with Trump. Trump has never won a plurality of the votes. He only won 2016 with an electoral win in 3 states and the Democratic campaign forestalled any repeat of the electoral ninja attack that won 2016. I think that Harris' campaign will do the same this year and that Trump will not be able to secure an electoral win again. |
The hysteria around another Trump presidency is truly astounding. |
He offers whining and dividing and not much else at this point. If that’s your kink, he’s your guy. If not, hard to find much there to vote for. |
Republicans always seem annoyed that their freaky plans got noticed. For people who actually pay attention to the stated policies of the the parties, what the GOP wants (and is already trying to do in states they mostly control) is aberrant, a true stepping away from America. Only the freaks think Project 2025 sounds like a good idea. Harris, on the other hand, stands for progress, with the easiest to understand policy that women won’t cease to be citizens. |
+1! “Kink” is the perfect word for the GOP’s policies. |
Wrong on all points. The "she jailed marijuana smokers" thing has been repeatedly debunked and blacks aren't out there in large numbers railing against illegals. Jews are deeply split on Netanyahu and many in the US oppose him for his brutality against Gazans. As for Muslims, there was just a story out about how Walz is beloved by Somalis and what the hell anyways - it's kind of brain damaged to try and claim that Muslims hate her because of Gaza (and frankly not all Muslims even support Palestinians) while simultaneously saying Jews hate her because she isn't sufficiently pro-Palestinian-genocide - come on man, engage some grey matter and come up with talking points that are at least logically consistent! Not to mention that Biden HAS been working on a ceasefire deal that should come out this week. |
there no harris flag... |
+1 |
So you don’t think calling Trump a scab is petty BS? |
