| I really like laid-back, creative style (as opposed to Ann Taylor/J. Crew kind of stuff). Which neighborhood/district in DC has the best people watching, street style, etc? |
| Probably H Street or U Street? |

| O honey your just in the wrong town. |
| Go check out the kids who hang out on the steps of the portrait gallery at Gallery Place metro. |
*sigh* we are moving from san francisco and even though it's not new york, i really appreciate people who dress like individuals! was hoping there was some area like this... |
I'm from Berkeley. This doesn't exist here. |
I'm from DC and even I'll admit that it's just not that kind of town. Oh well. |
| Union Station. |

| I don't know where they live but they shop at Union Market. I live by there and am totally dowdy but I can appreciate their looks! |

There are lots of fashion conscious parts I would say, but not fashion FORWARD parts as much. I think those are different and sadly the estetic here leans to more a cross between NE Preppy and Coastal southern preppy.
People think I am really "funky" because I wear leather sometimes or concert tees under my blazers. I would be super square in lots of places! I do wish it were a little more like that though- I dress a bit more out there sometimes on vacation because its the only time I can. |
| Howard U campus. |
