| Pizza for the kids is included in the party package. How much extra pizza should I order for the (8) adults? The only other food will be wings and birthday cake. |
| I'd order one large cheese pie. |
|
One pizza for 8 adults? No way.
Figure on 3 pieces per person, in my experience. Some people will eat 2, some 3, but there are always some guys who'll eat 4. I now very few people who stop at one. Depending on size of pizza and how many slices per, 2 or 3 pizzas for the adults. Better to have some leftovers for the rest of the week than only slice per person and some annoyed guests who think you're cheap. |
| ^^KNOW very few people |
This. Was at a kid's birthday party where there wasn't enough pizza. i had one slice, kid had one slice and DH had none. It was really bizarre that they didn't get enough. |
| Every kid's party we've attended, adults get one slice. So, I was going to say one more pizza, but given the other replies, I'd make it two more pizzas, max. |
| Go with two. Most people only eat one, some will eat none, and some will eat two if there is extra. With wings and birthday cake, two pizzas is sufficient |
| What time is the party? I'd do two, assuming there will be leftovers, but I always over order. |

Oh good, we haven't had this thread in a while. I could summarize how it's going to go, but why spoil the fun?
I'm on the "alway err on the side of generosity" camp. Three pizzas - pizza freezes and isn't very expensive. |
|
| I'd get two more. |
| The party's at 10am. Kids will eat around 11:30 after playing. |
| I don't understand this world. Firstly what adult wants to eat pizza at 11:30 in the morning? Secondly, what adult would look at how much pizza there is, how many people there are and decide to have four slices? OP it sounds like this party is at a place rather than your home right? In my circle, we would have coffee, some fruit and mayyyyybe pastries for the six adults and they could eat the leftovers from the kids. My crowd understands kids birthday parties are for and about the kids. |
| I think it depends if this is one of the first kids party amount the group. If so, order enough for 2 slices per adult. If not, parents likely sick of bday pizza and will refuse it. Would be nice to get a jug of Starbucks coffee and some fruit salad IMO but not necessary. |
| The fact that this is at 11:30 in the morning is new information. I assumed it was dinner (I'm 6:13). If it's lunch I think you can get away with less. |
