Read through the quotes and let me know if you laugh out loud at any of it . I think she's funny.

Not that poster, but I can't stand Sarah Silverman. Though a large part of it is an inability to listen to her irritating baby voice for more than 6 seconds.

Love, love, love Sarah Silverman!

I want to channel her next time I post on DCUM, because then Jeff will be forced to delete my posts. Any attention is good!

That voice is key to her performance art.

Part of the power of her act is the way she uses that child-like voice to deliver crude, even vile comedy. The whole point is to make the audience uncomfortable, and to challenge conventional (and often unconscious) expectations and notions about women.

Many, many comedians perform in character. The voice and the crude commentary is very much part of her character. For more insight, I definitely recommend her book (Bedwetter). It was uneven for sure. I skimmed/skipped some parts, but others were quite thoughtful and thought-provoking. There's a lot of depth behind her persona and act.

None of the jokes in that link are funny.

I absolutely loved The Sarah Silverman Show when it was out. So uncomfortably crude and horribly embarrassing, but hilarious. I was always amazed by her willingness to "go there".

Interesting points, but that doesn't make it more entertaining to watch her. Her schtick is annoying.

Didn't laugh at any of it. Didn't even smile. Her schtick is boring. "Wee! Let's be crude and racist! It's fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun. I'm white! I'm Jewish! I'm thin! Abortion abortion! Christians are idiots! Weeee!"

OP - let it go. Not everyone has to agree with you. You can't empirically insist that she's funny. To me, she sucks. She grates on me. I've seen her in a movie as well, and annoying came to mind. OK?
