best place to buy bra for 13 year old

DD prefers wearing undershirts, but she has developed beyond the use of undershirts and is in need of a real bra (not the little girl kind) - especially since she'll be changing in the gym locker room next week in front of her peers. She's a petite rising 8th grader. I'd like to take her shopping somewhere where she feels comfortable and where they have a good selection. Target just isn't cutting it anymore and I'm not ready to take her shopping at Victoria's Secret, so please don't recommend that! Thoughts?

I'd go to a department store like Macy's. They have a big juniors section.

Macy's. Wide selection. Or Gap Body.

Why not Victoria's Secret? Take her to the Pink section. I think they're targeted to the 13-17 year olds. They're cute not sexy.

Nordstrom. We did a real bra shopping trip for a recent 12th birthday and it was super. Ruby at Tyson's Corner helped us. She brought back very cute age appropriate bras. Some fun colors, a couple of (our) skin toned selections, sports bras, the works. She also brought back some nice pjs that were comfortable and nice looking without being sexy or tight. It was the anniversary sale so we also bought some lingerie wash and a mesh bag -- only time they go on sale. We had fun and everything fits and is comfortable.

Only a few places have junior bras (b/c most As are padded for an adult) We used Macys and JC Penny, because they were outgrown so quickly. You might try sports bras. There is a lot of change at that age, so you might not want to spend but so much. Justice? delias?

OP here, thanks for all the advice so far from everyone. Macy's looks like a good option. My 13 year old wouldn't be caught dead in Justice, btw - haha! Not sure what Dealia's is... Also, I do think she needs a bit of padding and I don't think she's a fan of sports bras because they are difficult to get on/off.

To the PP that suggested VS - ugh. I realize they have some stuff that could be "cute" and not "sexy" -- if they just took out the "cute" stuff and had a store for teens, maybe I'd consider it - but it makes me uncomfortable to shop with her in a store where the undergarments are marketed for sale for sex appeal. I just want to go for function at this point.

I'm still open to more suggestions. I might check out Gap Body (never been in there)...

Nordstrom had some nice "junior" bras that were plain white, black and beige. They had a tiny bit of padding for "modesty" but were very appropriate.

it's hard to find stuff that isn't too mature! DD has moved on to H&M etc. but I do have to have final approval on those.

Wow. No.

Sylene's in Friendship Heights near Brooks Bros will give her a professional fitting. Don't take shortcuts --this is as important as braces on growing teeth.

Ha ha and feel free to spend $6000 on it.

Because the wrong bra will cause the breasts to grow crooked?

Why not?

Justice is really marketed toward younger girls/tweens. 13 year old girls are more into Aeropostale, Hollister, Abercrombie, etc.
