Reading that article it wasn't anti-catholics so much as it was anti-catholic doctrine. To which I say, eh. His opinion.

As a Catholic, I am not offended. His religious views are his religious views.

Either he will grow up, mature and learn some tact, or he won't, but he is welcome to believe and preach whatever his soul tells him to do.

I do kind of think that Jessa is just trying to get out of the house whatever way is the quickest.

Didn't get that vibe at all from her sister and her fiancé, or even her brother and his fiancé.

The sister/fiancé seem truly in love and their relationship seems like an adult relationship.

Her brother and his wife seemed like they really shared viewpoints and like they wanted to be together and grow up/old together.

Jessa just seems like he is interchangeable with whatever guy gets her out of the house and he seems like a little boy with no direction other than what he is told to do/say.

She is marrying a kid.

Maybe she is trying to ensure that she gets to wear the pants in the family...

+1. It seems like this is her quickest way off the compound, though it seems like she hasn't given thought to how he will provide. Unlike her brother in law, Ben has no college education (and no trade). Right now she may just be looking forward to playing house, having only Ben to take care of instead of an army of kids, and having sex. But the difference between her and her sister's life will become abundantly clear really quick. They will all live locally so she'll see her sister and Derick be able to go on vacations, provide for their kids without relying on grandparents/hand me downs etc; they may upgrade their home eventually if Derick gets promoted. Whereas Jessa and Ben need to sit down and figure out what they're going to do to make ends meet.

I want one of these Duggars to say, "Screw this s#@t! I'm going to college." Or something other than getting married young. I feel like they are all just brainwashed. Maybe they are on the same thing Michelle is taking. Does anyone else get the feeling that mom is on some type of mood stabilizer or something? She always seems too even keeled.

Agree. Really, there isn't much more for her to wait around for. If she doesn't marry him, the next guy isn't likely to be all that different. She has nothing else better to do so she might as well get married and have babies.
