Wootton and student cars

We have recently moved and my oldest children will be attending Wootton this year. Do most of the juniors and seniors drive to school? Are my kids going to be some of the only older ones who ride the bus?

Yes, most of them either drive or drive with friends. Very few take the bus.

There is a large parking lot across the street from the HS that used to be for the Giant Supermarket (now closed). Many students park there and walk across the street.

"Most" juniors and seniors at Wootton do not drive to school. The school has a system of awarding parking permits based on need such as athletics, student government, clubs, work right after school, and students who stay after to answer the phone. The others don't get a permit. They might park in the old Giant lot at Rockshire but that will come to an end soon when the property owner starts towing cars out of there.

There is not room for 1,000 cars. Few drive along. Many pick up their friends. Others walk or are driven by mommy.

Lot of kids take the Ride On bus.

A lot of them use the bus to skip class too.

Most kids at Wooton drive at least a Lexus. Lots of BMWs, Mercedes, Range Rovers, Audits. Anything less than a Lexus and you are seen as cafeteria staff.

Most of the Asians due the sensible thing and take the school bus. That cuts down on 35% of the traffic.
