I could tell you were a an unhappy woman based on how you ripped into her and are SO bothered by this.

The wording of PP's post is so weird, too. "Several gals I went to college with" are more attractive than this television actress - and that's proof that the tv actress is not good looking? I don't know where you went to college, lady, or who these "several gals" are, or what they have to do with anything but I'll bet not a one of them would appreciate your tone here.

Who Was the Worst?

Candidates from the last episode:

A: Logan using his grandson to check if his food was poisoned
B: Caroline's mother/daughter talk where she said she should have had dogs instead of kids then played victim and cried that Shiv was her onion
C:Shiv and Tom's "fun" pillow talk
D:Something Else

and Willa needing to think about marrying Connor? He can do so much better.

But Willa is smokin' hot.

I think she's looking at the family dysfunction and doesn't want to get further enmeshed. She enjoys the lifestyle, but doesn't want the intensity and emotional volatility that comes with getting married and becoming "family."

Plus, Connor seems delusional and unstable. His ego is huge.

Omg Willa is going to use all of this and write a play about it at some point.

A tyrannical withholding father, absent mother, and cold calculating siblings? Hmm, what could have messed him up?

And let's get straight to the heart of the show. As Logan said, "Money wins. Everytime." It isn't love, it isn't goodness or good deeds. Money. Everything is transactional with him. He has so much money and power that he knows that no one really loves him as well. Everyone around him is there because of his money and power.

So much dysfunction. The kids all still want the approval of their, at best, distant parents. Logan is incapable of love and is a malignant person who hurts everyone who gets close to him. He attacks anything that wants his approval. He may be impressed for a few seconds by someone, but he knows, just like Alexander Skarsgard's character, that people will always disappoint him. Logan is far more malignant though because he competes with everyone in every way. He's incapable of love and has to best everyone. He's so malignant that he is cruel in his destruction. In any relationship, he will show that he is in control and the master.

Maybe this just exposes me as the ultra beta I am - but don't they have enough money and power even if they just give it a rest? They don't even seem to enjoy what they've got. They are so miserable, even with all their houses and cars and helicopters and all of it.

I was glad to see Shiv and Tom's dog sleeping near their bed in the last episode. I was worried about the dog. And after last ep and the mom's speech, I am even more worried about the dog.

You're not a sociopath with malignant tendencies. Don't call yourself a beta. That just normalizes that whole toxic mindthink.

Anyone who went to college with “gals” is 65+. They really burned the misogyny into their souls back then so I can see where the angry Shiv post came from.

The greed is the point of the show. They have so much, but they can’t enjoy it because they always want more. The scene from S1 or S2 where the beach house stinks and the staff throws away platters and platters of expensive seafood stuck with me as an example of their greed, waste, and excess.

Once you're that wealthy the group of people who sincerely cares about you becomes very small. The money itself is a barrier to other people. You can only have sincere relationships with people as wealthy as you because the imbalance is too great.

Agree. Points to Willa for being the only one to have a backbone.

Willa started as an escort. Seemed like she stayed with Conner for his connections in getting her play produced. But like secretly she kind of hates him, so marriage would be a big step into Giving Up.

I liked Willa waffling on marriage. Think she is going to use Connor’s eagerness to try to get a great prenup? Or leave the family altogether?

Why would Willa turn Con down? What are her other options? I woldnt give her too much credit for having a backbone. She is still with the guy even after all the things she has seen this family do.

Yes, I think she imagines herself being with someone she actually loves for marriage. If she even wants that.

That's literally the only thing she has going for her. She's a prostitute with no other career options.
