Oh come on! This cannot be a serious question.

(Of course not)

How was it nice? She coordinated with police so there were no arrests while she got her photo opp. Immediately after she leaves police arrest protesters. This looks so opportunistic. The optics are horrible in the context of Kate staying silent while the tabloids printed a false story about her sister-in-law. Now she is silent while her fellow citizens are arrested for doing exactly what she did. In both cases she benefits from throwing others under the bus.

Her silence speaks volumes.

The police shouldn't have arrested the protestors. We can agree on that (can't we?).

Kate isn't in control of the police. Blaming her for other protestors getting arrested is ... fantastical. I mean, if you're going to do that, then why stop there? Blame her for all sorts of things that have nothing to do with her. She's the future Queen Mother. She should figure out how to fix all of it. Amirite?

What are you talking about? She attended the vigil. She is well aware of how her security works with local police. Moreover there have been well publicized crisis meetings among the royal family this week. To suggest that Kate wouldn’t have been a part of those discussions—or at a minimum informed of them—is completely naive. Either this visit was concocted in a focus room to reframe the narrative or it was at a minimum approved by the palace.

All I’m saying is that if Kate is willing to use the protesters to rehabilitate her image, she owes them a minimum of consideration. To take her photos, while knowing that no arrests will happen in her presence and then leave the protesters out to dry is hypocritical. Look, if she hadn’t gone, nobody would be blaming her for the aftermath. However, halting arrests for her photo opp and walking away after she has the desired press, fits with the storyline that she’s actively trying to disprove.

Sorry, other than disliking it, I'm not sure what point you're trying to make about Kate showing up for the vigil.

It was hypocritical, self-serving, wrong? The actions by the police after she left were her responsibility? Or her fault? Is she at fault for the protests today too? Or, since she's not there, those don't matter?

Nope. Never.

Meghan would have made sure to have had her personal photographer in tow.

Will and Kate made a statement in support of BLM last summer. Barely a ripple.

Her security stopped arrests for her photo opp — then resumed when she left.

Is it so hard to understand why it’s wrong to use people like this?

Really? Well who took the pic? Don’t tell me she walked with her personal photographer or she alerted the tabloids she was going to be there!

Haha. It was just a random person who recognized her — and happened to have a professional lens abd camera while walking around—and tabloid contacts. Nothing to see here. Totally random person...

Well, it’s no I Haz A Sad in a photoshoot at a random cemetery in California, I’ll grant you. You’re like super smart.
