Some people have jobs to go to. Voting is sufficient. Illegal immigration is why Trump won in 2016 and will win in 2020. |
Yes voting... People in MoCo VOTED for Marc Elrich and he signed an executive order spelling out what the county employees could and could not do with federal officials regarding immigration cases so what's the problem? |
Well, this is happening on Friday...... |
So people who oppose what Elrich is doing should just shut up? Do you feel the same for the people who opposed Trump? But yes, considering the outrage this is rightfully generating, hopefully he and the council will be voted out. He has already back tracked and offered up feeble explanations now that people are demanding answers. |
11am to 12 noon...really?
|
No I don't think they should shut up - they're certainly vocal on anonymous forums... I'm just wondering where all these opponents are IN THE REAL WORLD... Where are you? Why are you so quiet outside cyberspace? |
They have jobs. |
Jobs...understandable. Just thought that considering how animated you all are when discussing the matter anonymously in cyberspace (you're either terrified)...
(or you're incensed)...
I'm thinking since this is essentially a "life or death the world is ending" type issue for you all why not coordinate something like Community Rally a previous poster mentioned and all of you take one day off work to save yourselves and save Montgomery County? I mean I get it you got bills to pay and mouths to feed but - IT'S LIFE A OR DEATH THE WORLD IS ENDING SCENARIO, right? Action is required, right? Why not get off your asses and get together and do something besides rant and rave anonymously online for ONE DAY? |
Really, pp? Democrats seem to love protests and marches. Republicans seem to love to react to actions by Elrich and the county board by voting. Wonder which is more productive? |
This post makes you sound unstable. What in the ever loving f... |

Why make it a partisan issue?
That’s why shit never gets done cause everything gets sensationalized as a party pissing contest and people automatically select a hardline stance based on party affiliation rather than community interest and stalemates occur. It’s a big world everybody has an opinion there is no universal right or wrong for everyone based on left or right ideology- the only solution to somewhat appease everyone is in the middle so why can’t people and politicians embrace compromise? Totally rhetorical question please don’t answer I suspect it’ll only yield more adamantly one-sided solution responses. |
Your point is a good one. Elrich made this partisan by declaring that his folks couldn't work with ICE and that ICE would not be allowed in non-public spaces in federal buildings. |
Wow! I had no idea this was in the works. I’ll be at work, but am glad to hear this. |
Agreed. This should not be a partisan issue. Politicians should be able to figure out an appropriate response to this problem. |
