Another racial incident at Churchill HS

There were principal problems in elementary school just to watch a bad principal get promoted from elementary to middle school. Then there were the high school years under a principal who was absent more than she was present. Through these years, children in the Churchill cluster have experienced racism, bullying, gender inequality, drugs, and teachers who are collecting a paycheck but can't teach the subject they are assigned or who exhibited racial and gender biases. We have seen the revolving door of leadership but rarely is anyone willing to do more to fix problems than to give speeches.

Agreed (parent of former Churchill student)

Why then are y’all paying millions to live there and planning to fight against rezoning?

I think you are stereotyping a community by a zip code. I didn't pay millions of dollars for my home and I support rezoning so there is more diversity at Churchill.

Also a Churchill parent, and I also would like to see rezoning for more FARMs kids in the school. The current culture is insane.

+1 Kids are so out of touch with what life is like for the average family in Montgomery County. This breeds a sense of entitlement and a lack of empathy for others. Greater socioeconomic diversity would be a benefit for the cluster.

Just saw this WUSA post featuring students from Wootton, Whitman, and Churchill. Worth watching.

I hope participation can be branched out of the few chosen for Study Circles to the broader student body.
