Many teachers don't have a workspace yet and many who do have not received the items from their old spaces. The admin in charge of the move? Yep, the same one who's been mentioned before. I guess 10 weeks just isn't long enough.

Relax. School doesn't start for more than a week.

I still don't have a space and many don't have their stuff yet. Do we have your permission to unrelax yet?

If you were real, yes. But youre trolling, so no. All teachers now have spots.

Since certain TC APs seem to be reading this, perhaps one can weigh in on when the air conditioning will be fixed?

That’s the school board’s intention. Their desire is to stick the West end kids into a separate high school, which is assured to be not full-service.

Where is the evidence that a West end high school would "not be full-service"?

School board has already indicated that there will be no athletic fields except at TC. That was covered by the Alexandria Times as recently as April. The school board's ed-spec regulation doesn't include numerous features of TC in the new high school final design (so much won't be at the new high school that it's impossible to fully list - no planetarium, no full-time scholarship fund college assistance office, etc). The school board's current gimmick is conducting a "high school experience" survey; the results will be presented in late September as evidence of the minimum goals and features.

Actually all of that sounds like evidence that they are NOT leaning towards a second comprehensive HS. More likely they will either expand TCW (bye bye to some of that land at Chinquapin) OR add capacity at Minnie Howard (9-10 maybe?) or add specialized mini campuses elsewhere.

No, they’re already planning the specific design features for a second 9-12 HS. They have already hired two of the consulting contractors. It’s just that the new HS (which will be in the West End) will be vocational and not full-service college prep. All West End kids will be zoned for it.

Totally. All kids east of 395 will be plumbers and all kids west of 395 will be electricians. Or something like that.

A plumber can do quite well, actually. The average plumber's salary in Fairfax, VA is $82, 254. My STEM Ph.D. husband has said he should have gone into construction/home repair.

I agree and I really think they need to bring back trade education to TC. It would go along way in helping keep kids in school and provide them with a job after graduation.

No problems at TC. Nope, administration is doing a great job.

That is nauseating. Grateful my kids never had to experience that.

Bet you are one of the obnoxious Arlington posters. If so, you have kids ODing in bathrooms, calling each other racist names, and routinely showing up drunk at school events. Put a lid on it.

Yeah. No. I don't live in Arlington. And I have four happy successful kids. Two in college. Two college grads with great jobs. I have a high school senior still at home. I would sell everything I own and move to the middle of nowhere before putting my kid in that environment.

Right. Happy people with happy kids don't post crap like this. Get a life, Arlington troll.

I don’t like racist a-holes, either. Maybe you should stick to defending Kavanaugh on the politics page.

This is terrible. Is this the norm at TC? It was disconcerting to see the teacher being knocked around while desperately radioing for help.

Not sure I'm following. This certainly seems to be TC Williams HS, but the date on the twitter video is August 31, 2018. That's before school opened in 2018. Summer school wasn't in session then either. Is this from perhaps years ago???

If you look through that twitter handle feed there are some terrible videos from the school. Are these just random spats or are they gang related, I wonder?
