Maybe they had a few teams without enough players and wanted to send out the rosters all at the same time, so everything got delayed?

I keep hearing horror stories about Capelli from parents.

I think this is probably it. I do wish they would send out the info to the teams that are fully formed, or at least to all the individuals who have already registered, so we can order uniforms. I guess returning players don’t need new uniforms but it stinks for those of us who have to order new ones.

It is very aggravating. I have been told there is a tournament the weekend of Aug 17. That's only 9 weeks away.

Oh, you are not getting a Capelli order in 9 weeks. Even if you ordered today.

So what happens when kids have no uniforms? Does the club have extras sitting around? DS played on a team years ago that ordered through a small retailer and his uniform was late. We were told to just purchase a solid t-shirt and add a number with duct tape. The kids looked ridiculous but the refs let them play.

The delay is crazy. Tryouts, team acceptance, deposits all paid the second week of April. That was 2 1/2 montha ago. Could have ordered the uniform months ago. We don't even know who else is on the team.

Pay them first to lock you in... Everything thing else can wait and is not that important. You're locked it and you'll have your jersey for the Spring season...nothing to worry about. Same happened to us last year

You didn't have a jersey at all for the fall season? So your kid played with a duct taped number the entire fall season? That is very annoying. It's not like you pay a discounted price to have the uniform for less time...

I certainly hope this is an exaggeration. My child is in HS so the main season is fall and they’d hardly wear it come spring.

Different poster, but we ordered uniforms from Capelli last season (SYC) and went without uniforms until the very last game of the season. Dealing with them was beyond frustrating.

We ordered plain athletic shirts and iron on numbers from Amazon so it was slightly less janky than duct tape-but not much better

If the clubs know this is a huge issue then why do they use Capelli in the first place and why the delay in providing ordering info? We've been committed to a team since early April. Just assign a number no one else has and send the info out!
