| I have one wicked sweet tooth. I am trying to switch over to an artificial sweeter for coffee drinks and baking. Every Stevia I have tried is either bitter or too licorice tasting. Does anyone have a favorite stevia product or stevia blend they like using. I need to bake with it too. |
| I like xylitol. Have to buy it on Amazon, but I use it in cupcakes and baking all the time. |

I hate the stuff.
Only way to curb your sweet tooth is to cut all sugars (fake and real) completely out. Sorry, artificial sweeteners taste horrible, especially Stevia. |
Can you tell me which one you use? |
| Good luck. Recent science points to these artificial sweeteners not helping as they confuse the brain, and you end up bingeing on sugar or other food later. The message: Stick with caloric sweeteners, like sugar. |

I agree. You're not really cutting out sweets; you're just retraining your taste buds to like super sweet stuff. I've had success slowly using less and less sugar. For instance, I make great cakes that call for a cup of sugar. One one or two cakes, I'm down to less than 1/3 cup and can't tell. But the fake sugar products always taste obvious, IMO. |
| Xylitol gave me wicked gastrointestinal problems. Don't recommend it. I agree with the pp - cut back on real sugar. I usually use 2/3 the amount called for in a recipe. |

Stevia isn't an artificial sweetener. It's a natural sweetener, but I agree that it's bitter.

I just wanted to add to this, that I found out when I stopped using artificial sweeteners, I craved sweets a lot less, and lost weight without trying. I was shocked (I cut them out for other reasons). |
| Artificial sweeteners as well as Stevia are headache triggers for me. |
