What do you wear?
I haven't found any sports bras for my huge boobs that are inexpensive (48DDD) but even if I did, am not sure I'd want to be exposing my huge belly, fat rolls, etc. to strangers. Can we work out in the dark? |
| If you're going to write a troll post, try not to be so obvious. You're making it less fun. |
Seriously. How stupid and mean. |
I'm not a troll. I'm just fat. |
| Depending on what kind of workout you're doing, you may not really need a sports bra. I used to squeeze into one, but realized I'm not running or otherwise bouncing (I'd use the stationary bike and weights at the gym) so a regular bra was fine. |
| To the extent anyone at the gym notices you at all, they're going to be thinking "good for her" not "omg fat rolls". Wear whatever you feel comfortable in! |
| Put a shirt over the sports bra like most people? |
Well that's the whole point of asking! I don't know what most people do! |
| Personally I only went running in a jog bra alone when I was in my early 20s and very lean. Otherwise, yes a t-shirt or a tank top over your sports bra is appropriate. Choose one that breathes and is a wickable fabric, not just a plain old cotton t-shirt if you can help it. |
| p.s. Good sports bras generally are not inexpensive, they cost some serious $$. Check out Title 9 Sports for some good options for larger-breasted women. |
NP here. And note that this is not an item you want to go "cheap" on. Any old t-shirt or shorts will do. But you've got to make sure you're wearing a properly fitted and comfortable bra. Otherwise, you won't want to work out. Spend the money if you have to get the right work-out bra. |
| OP, are you a man or a woman? If it's he-boobies, my answer will be different. I need to know if we're talking about he-boobies. |

I'm in very good shape and would never work out in just a sports bra. I will run in one, but at the gym I always wear a tank top over my sports bra.
I think most people who are committed to health and fitness will be encouraging, not judgy! |

Yes, wear a shirt.
And you don't need to buy one of the super expensive sports bra. Wearing two usually works better. |
| I am pretty fit but I always wear at least a tank top over my sports bra. Anyhow, they have pretty good stuff at Target, though I don't know the size range. I say figure out what is comfortable for you and go for it. Yay for you for getting started. Don't let *anyone* discourage you. |
