Illegal immigrants to be housed in "suites" with flat screen tv's

…and yet we have US children and their families living on the streets, in cars, in substandard homeless shelters, etc. There is something really wrong with this scenario.

I doubt children are homeless, living on the street, because of the price of a flat-screen TV. A couple hundred dollars more or less isn't keeping them out of an apartment.

But if they get deported they will go back to living in shacks or in fear of the lives from the violence. If they don't get deported, pretty sure they won't have enough money to continue staying in nice hotels with flat screen tvs.

You missed the point entirely. We, as a nation, should not be treating illegal immigrants better than we treat our own citizens.

How about treating people like human beings and not being so disgusting as to think that some people matter and some don't, solely based on where they happened to be born?

... which is just pure luck, or unluck as the case may be.

I never suggested that anyone not be treated like a human being. I have a big problem with treating those who enter our country illegally better than those who are citizens. If anyone should be in a "suite" with special amenities, it should be US children first when it is paid by taxpayer dollars. Accommodations that are "good enough" for US children should be good enough for illegal immigrants.

I don't understand what OP thinks we should do with them. Pitch tents on the national mall? Our prisons are already very overcrowded by natives, so that's not an option. The hospitals cost too much even for those of us working our asses off. I guess we could put them in school gyms but what do we go when the school starts again?

OP, these are children!!!! They came from very dire circumstances.

And what accommodations are those?

The illegals should be shipped back immediately. They should also be microchipped so that if they come back they are jailed for a long time. We do not have the resources to save the world. The us needs to keep our own country together. If anything, create a sustainable economy for these people so they will stay there.

I am sure if they housed these illegals in next to your Bethesda and McLean McMansions your time would change. Especially once your top rated "w" school starts to become a high FARMS and ESOL undesireable place for your snowflake to attend.

Your tune would change

Most TVs are flat screens these days. Enjoy!

Wingnuts protested every time we tried to use the substandard facilities.
