I absolutely can't tolerate wearing sweaters and turtlenecks. I much prefer short sleeves (t-shirts, esp.) to long sleeves. I am not a fan of jeans, but love sweats.
I work from home so I can dress comfortably, but I really want to look a little more put together. I have a lot of clothes from my office days (casual), but I just feel so uncomfortable wearing that stuff. When I used to work in an office, I could wear jeans and khakis to work, but still couldn't wait to get home to change into shorts or sweats. Is there anyone else out there like me? For those that dress nicely when you are at home, are you comfortable in what you wear, or do you just wear it because it looks nice? |
I hate skirts. I feel so butchy in them, not sure why, but I do.

I hate underwear. I go commando sometimes. jk. |
When I was young, I worked from home and i always dressed in a (short) skirt even though it was just me and my computer. Flash forward to my first job after having a kid and I could hardly remember to wear deodorant or brush my hair. Now I just don't enjoy dressing up. But I try to avoid looking in the mirror.... |
Maybe it is a sensory disorder. I hate pantyhose. Refuse to wear them. |
Ha! I almost live in turtlenecks in the winter. Sometimes I get self conscious about it...like people will think I have a Katherine Hepburn thing going on or something - but it's only in the winter. And I'm with you on the jeans. Sometimes I don't get why they are always deemed to be such comfortable pieces of clothing because I'm usually looking forward to getting out of them at the end of the day. Though, I will say that just last week I bought my first pair of Jag jeans at Nordstrom and hands down they are the most comfortable jeans I have ever owned. And look great, too (if I do say so myself). I'm a temporary SAHM so I don't have a need to dress up right now, but I have a rule with myself that I have to make an effort to look put together and wear something semi-cute at least a few weekdays of the week...even if I'm only doing one outing that day. And no, I'm not typically as comfortable in that as I am when I'm wearing my fleece pants. But it's a mental thing for me. Oh, and I have pretty much banned shorts from my wardrobe. I hate them. Will only wear capris or long pants in summer. |
I would wear jeans all week if I could!
Now that I'm on my fourth year of hot flashes, I never wear long sleeves any more unless it's layered over a t-shirt so I can strip down when my "personal summer" roars in. |
I hate maternity wear. I feel like I am wrapped in duct tape. |
Hate shorts. Hate skirts. Hate pantyhose. Hate spaghetti straps. Hate tops that wrap. Hate cap sleeves. Feel better now. |
Hate jeans (especially low rise) and hate panty hose. |
I thought everyone hated pantyhose? |
I don't mind pantyhose but I really LOVE tights, which I guess I'm too old for but I'm not able to accept that yet. What I really hate is make up after the initial love fest (so after about ten minutes or when I have an itch anywhere near my eyes). |
I hate pants suits - especially the blazers. I'm very small so I feel like I'm playing dress up when I wear them.
My office is business casual - but what else can I wear to meetings and stuff? |
I hate suits. I feel like a little kid playing dress up. I hate dresses that tie in the back because they're such a scam. You're pretty much just buying a tent. I hate jeans that don't stretch. I hate short shirts because I'm long waisted.
My favorite outfit is a fitted t-shirt, casual knee-length black skirt, and sandals. |
always hated turtlenecks..feel like i'm being choked. |
