Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya. How many innocent civilians have been killed in these countries by other Muslims? |
Sounds like the inner U.S. city violence. No one cares as the press does not report it. Too common. Not glamorous enough to garner ratings. Plane crashes equate to better ratings. |
I do. I care about any innocent killed be it at the hands of Muslims or Non-Muslims. Do not think that what is happening in those countries is isolated from what is happening in the rest of the middle east. May Allah help the innocents and protect them from their tyrants! |
fortunately, they are all martyrs! |
Religion has little to do with the situation in the countries you mention, but i like the quote attributed to mark twain: "it's easier to fool the masses than convince them they've been fooled." |
Actually I think religion has everything to do with the situation in the countries OP mentions. There is no peace with it, and there is no peace in it. |
Yes. But the "he's doing it too" defense is about as insightful as when it comes from one of your kids.
The fact is that we fund Israel. We do not fund most of the others. However, we do give money to Egypt, and because of that you will see many posts on Egypt's muslim on muslim violence. |
Maybe all the Palestinians in Gaza should convert. How would that play with the "good" people of Israel? |
No, people don't care. Just like people don't care about black on black crime in inner cities. |
I care. But to you can't use Muslim/on/Muslim violence as some "HEY!! LOOK OVER THERE!!1" distraction to ignore or look away from Israeli aparthide and war crimes.
I can multi-task my care. |
No. As demonstrated on this site, people don't care. I don't have any recollection of anyone saying their outrage at any Muslim country the way they do at Israel. People on this site are not anti- Semites, they are anti- Jews. It sickens me. Even the person who owns te site takes it upon himself to rewrite history at every turn. I will not patronize any of the advertisers that support this site. That's for sure. |
This is going to be subjective, but... I feel like it would be easier if more Muslim countries condemned the bad Muslim actors. Without stronger leadership from the Muslim world, it's hard for us to criticize without coming off as seeming anti-Islam, intolerant of other cultures' values, and all the rest.
I'm aware that some Muslims do criticize others, but it never seems to rise to the level you see when, for example, one western nation criticizes another. You see brave individuals criticizing Hamas or whomever. But it's much rarer that one Muslim state will take an official position about the behavior of another state or a movement. |
That's because no Muslim country engages in enthusiastic chest-thumping about being the only democracy in the sea of darkness, our only friend in the ocean of the hostile unwashed, the sole source of enlightened values and the seat of chosen people, to boot. Israel aspires to moral superiority while behaving exactly like any other tribal dictator. |
As long as it is kept in their own backyard-not really! |
I care |
