Shooting ranges that accommodate young teens?

Anonymous
Are there any shooting ranges in the DC area where, under the supervision of an instructor, a young teen from a non-gun-owning family can learn about, handle, and shoot a gun?

How close to DC does it need to be?

The NRA in Fairfax offers classes. Right now they have their July schedule up, but July is almost over.

You could contact them to see what their August and beyond schedules will look like. I also believe that you can arrange for private instruction.

Is your kid socially withdrawn and alienated from peers? Does he prefer to spend hours alone in a dark basement playing violent video games to being around real people? If so, I know just the place. Oh wait, I see 19:19 already posted.

There are shotgun shooting classes at Bull Run. I believe the minimum age is 12.

Ignore 19:38. The NRA range is well-run and a good place to start. I say that as a non gun owner (my husband is more pro-gun and shoots there often, we both hate the bras politics but the range is open to all).

Almost half of Americans own guns. They can't all be mass killers, because logic.

The NRA's politics. We support the bra's politics

19:19 here

I don't own a weapon, nor do I care to. However, I have no problem with people who DO wish to own them, or at least learn about them, to do so in a safe manner.

Young teens should not be wrapped in the 2nd Amendment. Their constitutional rights kick in at 18.

Keep guns locked up around young teens.
