| Looking at all-girls, Catholic for HS. What can you tell me about these two, and what are the differences? |
|
Stoneridge is outside the beltway in Bethesda. Visitation is in Georgetown. Visitation is only high school. Stone ridge starts in pre-k. Visitation has a better sports reputation although SR has Katie. While visitation is reputed to be very difficult, our experience was that Stone Ridge was more academic.
Visitation has a better social reputation and prestige (long history and great alumni). Stone Ridge is more liberal catholic. |
| Thanks PP. Of course we already know where the schools are located and what grades they consist of - stuff you realize after two seconds of research. Looking for real life experiences, like york last few sentences, stuff you can't really glean from a website. Thanks. |
Wow. You are a peach. Visi alumna here. Please go to Stone Ridge. |
| Huh? So it is wrong to clarify what kind of info one is looking for? |
Because the problem is that it's unlikely families have experience at both schools, so no matter what someone says, it's always going to be conjecture regarding the other school which leads to all sorts of accusations and reputation-bashing. |
Hey, I just learned that the repeat "you are a peach" lady went to Visi! Somehow not surprising. |
| Search is your friend, tons of info' posted on here comparing both schools. |
Not the visi-chick... But really OP's response is extremely rude you can't see gat? |
| That not gat |
No, it isn't extremely rude. It may be slightly rude. Not extremely. Read it again. It was a little defensive, probably because she feltnlike the PP was treating her as if she were stupid. |
Assuming the OP is educated and has some communication skills, yes... She purposely put expressions in her response that were extremely and purposely rude. Or maybe she is simple and married well. |
No. YOU, on the other hand, are extremely rude. |
|
Unfortunately it's almost impossible to have a normal adult conversation about private schools on this site. And especially Catholic schools. Which is a shame, but this thread is all the proof you need.
|
|
OP is her own thread-killer! The first responder had some pretty good info in a response to a pretty vague question, but OP jumped down her throat.
