Wow. You are a peach. Visi alumna here. Please go to Stone Ridge.

Hey, I just learned that the repeat "you are a peach" lady went to Visi! Somehow not surprising.

Not the visi-chick... But really OP's response is extremely rude you can't see gat?

No, it isn't extremely rude. It may be slightly rude. Not extremely. Read it again. It was a little defensive, probably because she feltnlike the PP was treating her as if she were stupid.

Assuming the OP is educated and has some communication skills, yes... She purposely put expressions in her response that were extremely and purposely rude.

Or maybe she is simple and married well.

No. YOU, on the other hand, are extremely rude.

I was purposely being rude to see if you can recognize it. You passed.

I have siblings who have taught at both schools. Not a big difference between them, other than location. Visi is a little "more Catholic" with the nuns still present. Stone Ridge is more suburban with nice grounds, Visi is walled but still pleasant once inside, and off Georgetown's narrow and pot-holed streets. Hard working girls can get a fine education at either school.

If there is a difference, it may be with which Catholic families send their daughters to which school.

Our experience is that Visi is the preferred school for the older, more established families.

What's that supposed to mean?

Yes, my reading comprehension is pretty solid. You're still wrong. And completely rude.

I think it also depends on where you live. I went to Visi, and the class was about 1/3 each MD, DC and VA. I can't see driving to MD from VA for SR.

Thanks for the posts, everyone. We are just about equidistant to both SR and Visi.

Academic curriculum as well as the structure of the curriculum is significantly different. SR now has longer length classes - believe intent is mirrors closer to college and teachers can go more in depth. Not saying one is better than the other. It depends on the student which is better or worse fit academically.

Visitation has had the better reputation sports wise for many years (except swimming which SR now has recently). SR will have new turf field this fall and seems to be putting a higher priority on athletics then in the past.

SR - is physically within the beltway. Though does pull students from likely farther MoCo country reach - so classmates may be further away?

It seems some catholic parishes send more to one school then another.

Both are fine schools with many long standing wonderful traditions.

Impossible to get the answer to this question on DCUM. Too many long-term boosters with agendas pollute the discussion. Best to visit each school. The girls who end up at each are very different.

Different in what way? Thanks! - OP.

Holton rocks compared to either.

Holton serves a different group pf families. It's not really an alternative to Visi or SR for the great majority.
