Do you feel like people look at you as if you are shoplifting when you do this? |
Because you are. Put the kid in the cart. Not hard. |
No, but I don't really notice how people look at me.
I did that when DD was in a stroller because I needed to make sure not to buy more than I could get home. |
I would often get a basket and rest it on the back of our MacClaren Triumph. Sort of between the handles and the hood. DS hated it b/c he said he bothered his head (it really wasn't in his way but you know how kids are). That said I was always worried about putting things in the basket under the stroller. Most often I would fold it up and sit DS in the cart with the storller in the back. |
I don't care how people look at me. I'm not shop lifting, I pay for each item. I'm not putting my floppy 3 month old in the shopping cart, and I don't like putting the car seat in the shopping cart if I don't have to. I'll wear him in the ergo if he's feeling amenable to it, but if he's not, we stroller shop.
Never had anyone comment, except to say that he's cute. |
Too busy having a good shopping experience to bother noticing what people think! |
How is this shoplifting but walking around with items in your hand is not? Are you okay, PP? |
I used to do this with the Uppa Baby Vista. It has a huge basket! I don't know if anyone looked at me like I was stealing and I don't really care if they did. I wasn't and no one from the store ever said anything. |
Do this all the time, also w UB Vista. No one has ever said anything. |
Hell no. In the end, I ALWAYS pay for what I pick up. I don't care what people think. I get through the store without a meltdown. It makes my day better. I pay for my things. It's a common thing. Only people without kids wouldn't understand, and I don't have time for that. |
I think you're silly and you're stroller takes up more room in the small aisles than a cart. It's annoying.
Shoplifting? No. |
No. Not at all.
But I only do it when I just have a few things to pick up. |
I do it. I have to if I walk (stroll) to the store. What's the big deal? |
I accidentally did shoplift a thing of milk from the giant around the corner when my kiddo decided she wanted out of the jogging stroller I'd pushed her there in and went running out the door before I made it to the register. I felt bad, but I had to chase after her so she didn 't run into the parking lot.
But, no, I don't generally think people are thinking anyone pushing a kid in a stroller is shoplifting. I liked walking to the shopping center in our neighborhood to get the small items we needed. They fit in the basket, I'd pay at the self-pay and walk home. I got exercise and errands done ![]() |
I do it all the time. No one ever says anything. |
