Grocery shopping with a stroller and not a shopping cart

I felt bad, but I had to chase after her so she didn 't run into the parking lot.

But, no, I don't generally think people are thinking anyone pushing a kid in a stroller is shoplifting. I liked walking to the shopping center in our neighborhood to get the small items we needed. They fit in the basket, I'd pay at the self-pay and walk home. I got exercise and errands done

I've done that by leaving something on the bottom of the shopping cart, or stuck behind a jacket or my purse in the cart. It happens all the time. I think it's weird that OP has a concern that using a stroller equates to thoughts of shop lifting.

I almost always shop with him in his stroller bc he doesn't seem to like being in the baby carrier inside. Once he can sit up I'll put him in the cart, but for now ? Just when I think I have figured something out... So confused.

No, most people don't think an infant should be put in a cart.

I used the jogging stroller as our walking around our neighborhood stroller. Those walks occasionally included stops at the grocery store, or the Starbucks, or the restaurants in the shopping center. My umbrella stroller generally stayed on my car and I only used it for trips to the mall or anyplace I had to take my car to. This really isn't that unusual. Do people who live in the city park their stroller out front and always grab a cart? I doubt it.

No, but I also don't have a jogging stroller. Most urban dwellers I know use a smaller stroller--lots of Uppa Baby Vistas and City Minis in my neighborhood.

these strollers? Not really smaller than my jogging stroller was. I have an older baby jogger model still that is about the size of their current city mini.

But you go on thinking your urban jungle strollers are equivalent in size to the small fold umbrellas...

I go with the stroller! I have had people ask if I wanted a cart, and I say "What would I do with the stroller?"

The store by my house won't let people bring in big bags, if you do, it has to go to the front desk. I tried telling them my daughters inhaler was in the diaper bag, but they saied "Take it out, and put the bag at the desk. You can't shop here with a big bag like that"

Stop worrying what others (and morons here) think! I walked everywhere when I was on maternity leave, including to Whole Foods. Who's suggesting you check your stroller at the door just so you can shop with an actual cart? I think it's fine to use your stroller, plus with a kid so small, putting them in the cart isn't an option. It doesn't really matter, OP, you do what you need to do. I can't believe people have such strong opinions about these things.
