Did anyone else feel as if Germany was a bit obnoxious?

Just saw the complete annihilation of the Brazilians. Does anyone else feel that Germany laid it on a bit too much? I mean come on. They already were up 5-0 by the half time To dismantle a team so completely in their home country in front of 1000s? I felt it was in poor taste. Let the haters chime in now...

Nah, it's not in poor taste. I mean, Brazil got annihilated, but that loss has been a long time coming. And I didn't think that Germany was gloating or being unsportsmanlike. Actually, after the game, there were lots of hugs and handshakes.

They stopped looking for goals in the second half. They slowed their tempo way down. It could have been 15-0.

It's part of the game. Brazil was awful. It's not like Germany's goals were heroic or took much effort. They took off a couple of their stars in the second half. They barely celebrated at the end.

I honestly don't think Brazil would have been any better with Neymar or Silva. They are a youngish team and they just don't play soccer the way the Brazilians are known for.

Yeah, and they guy they brought on from the bench scored 2 more goals in 20 minutes to make it 7-0! Germany was NOT trying to run up the score; Brazil basically rolled over. Kind of sad, but Germany looked damn good out there, too.

No. Brazil sucked and Germany did pull back, way back. I agree that it could've been easily 15:0.
Brazil didn't play a really good team in their group. Germany came as a surprise.

I mean, this was Brazil that Germany thumped. I feel bad when countries like The Faroe islands or Cuba get thumped by a powerhouse. Even Germany didn't expect to win by this much.

People read too much into this; these are professionals. The game was essentially over when Germany went up 3-0, and whatever happened after that doesn't really have a lot of significance. Games get out of hand sometimes, and weird things happen when a game is out of reach like 15 minutes in.
