Did anyone else feel as if Germany was a bit obnoxious?

I agree. I just watched the replay, and Germany was slow stepping at the end. I'm pretty sure that last German shot was missed on purpose, and no one was playing defense when Brazil scored. Brazil was just terrible today.

I'm French, and thought the Germans were a bit rough during their game with France. It makes me feel somewhat better to have been trounced by a team that is proving itself really good!

And they completely gave that Brazil goal away. Honor goal.

I don't think Germany was trying to run it up after 3-0. Their attacks were pretty basic at that point. Even if you don't buy that, can imagine how hard it would be to ease up after days of build up to a World Cup semi final game against Brazil in Brazil?

They were excited, truth is that as much as we want to judge them, most any team would have reacted the same way. Hey its the World Cup, the pinnacle of their career, if they aren't going to go crazy then, then when?

With all due respect, though I was rooting for Brazil, they LET them score like that..they were wide open. Brazil looked like a novice team, it was insane.

Totally agree. Does anyone know where I can get a rebroadcast or buy the game to watch at home? My poor husband missed it and we don't have cable or TiVo or whatever.

I remember when I played on a soccer team in high school and we got thumped 8-0. It was 6-0 at the half, and one of my teammates whined to the coach (who happened to be Canadian) that the other team should essentially take pity on us and stop running up the score. Her response was, "You don't like getting beat 6-0? Then play better and stop them!"

I often remember that.

Right now Germany has the strongest economy in Europe and basically run the EU.
