White silestone / caesarstone countertops - any downside?

I love the look of pure white quartz countertops. I'm thinking of putting in White Zeus Extreme (Silestone) for our kitchen countertops. I know that quartz products are usually fantastic. We have Silestone in two bathrooms but they are not white.

Has anyone installed white quartz countertops? How did they hold up as far as staining, scratching, and maintenance required?

I have Silestone Lagoon. Holding up beautifully. They don't seem to require any more maintenance than any of the other Silestone I've had (which is none, except for cleaning them - I like the Method daily granite stuff).

Not the OP, but the Silestone Lagoon is very pretty!! What color are your cabinets?

I did them over white. When I moved in, I had half a kitchen with white cabinets and very busy brown granite. The other half of the kitchen was completely empty. I couldn't bring myself to tear out perfectly good granite, and everything else I tried to pair with it didn't work, especially with brown wood floors. So I did a white tile backsplash, chocolate brown walls, and built an island with the lagoon countertops. The busy brown granite now looks like it belongs.

I like all white kitchens (cabinets, counters, subway backsplash). When you get tired of one look, all you have to do is get a can of paint and go from dark to light, spring to fall, etc.

I used to have them in a previous home and loved them (specifically Silestone Lyra). The ONLY issue I had was that metal could leave scratch marks. Think men's belt buckles. The main time this was an issue for me was when I had contractors working in the kitchen.

We have Silestone Lyra and it's holding up great. No stains despite many, many spills (red wine, tomato sauce, etc...)

OP here. Thanks for the feedback. I have a question for the Lagoon / Lyra folks: how does the look compare to marble?

I have the lagoon. It certainly gives the feel of marble - it's got the grey/white tone, and some movement to the quartz. It isn't a duplicate, but it doesn't scream "I'm trying to be fake marble!" Lyra's dark lines always looked too fake to me and not random enough.

Both would work fine if you want a marble look and aesthetic.

I'd go with a granite, there are plenty that have similar colors/veining found in marble but are easy maintenace and have a lot more character than the silestone.

People ask me if the lagoon I have is marble. Usually the first thing they ask so it must be a pretty good imitation of marble.

OP again. What style are your kitchens, PPs? Our house is midcentury modern, and we're sticking with the modern and contemporary vibe. Have any of the Lyra and Lagoon posters installed their countertops in a modern (i.e. not traditional) kitchen?
