Hilary is NOT a victim. At all. What is wrong with you?

Everyone who posts on social media is a special type of sad victim.

I see what you did there.

Yes. There are. There are Donald Trump, the broke businessman, and Melania, the genius immigrant. The irony that AB is so closely behaving like his nemesis.

It's like when two people hate each other because they're so much alike.

Alec ironically wanted a political career and the closest he could come was playing one on TV. LOL

No. She won't. She bit the hand that created her image and that is a fatal move.

I think blaming CAA is pretty dangerous. Esp their ominous "no comment."

I follow people on social media who are educators. Nothing "sad" about them.

I agree what she did was sketchy/shady/wrong and she knew exactly what she was doing and is taking no ownership... blaming media, but never having tried to correct this mis information... but she must be having such extreme anxiety with all of this unraveling. So much embarrassment, anxiety over how her husband is reacting to her lies, her brand being upended, and is also taking care of five kids(granted with 5 nannies but still that’s a lot).

Well, the best way to avoid the pain of that humiliation is to not lie in the first place. What did she think would happen???

No kidding, but the punishment in this case is way out of proportion with the crime. I feel sorry for her and while she shouldn’t have lied, I wonder if she actually hurt anyone - or did this to hurt anyone. And in the scheme of things, there are so many awful humans in the world. Hilaria’s not one of them, regardless of her considerable flaws.

While this story is tantalizing, she’s being bullied and savagely ridiculed for no decent reason.

How exactly is she being punished??!?!? She's not being arrested or even lost any endorsements that I am aware of. If nothing else she's getting a ton more publicity! Stop acting like she's some sort of innocent victim. No one has ever died of humiliation.

Again, if she were not a slim, active, attractive, wealthy white American woman I wonder if people would be imploring others to have this same level of compassion.

Actually, people have died following humiliation - by suicide among other things. And they anonymous cyber bullying has exacerbated this phenomenon. Literally, as social media usage ticked up so have suicide rates. So, yes, needlessly crushing and piling on someone isn’t without impact. This woman was a fake and she lied. But she didn’t steal anyone’s 401k money or stab anyone to death or steal someone’s husband or abuse her kids. She lied. And I’d feel the same compassion for a POC, too, particularly as I am one.

That's a fair point. And exactly why she needs to get off her phone, go away somewhere for a month with her family and really focus on what's important.

I know, right? She's not big enough to pull that crap.

I had forgotten that Alec wanted to be a politician! Yes. I agree with the PP that he probably strongly dislikes Trump because they are so much alike, even if their politics differ. (But Trump was a Democrat for most of his life, so they are not that different.)

All my DC’s school did during Thanksgiving was talk about how horrible and mean the pilgrims were and how they stole land from the native americans and how horrible that was. Well, that’s our horrible culture, that’s all we got. We’re awful awful humans.

The facts speak for themselves , don't they ?

She's narcissist. She isn't being impacted about it at all.

She says she "rarely" works with them. Mmm hmmmm. Even rarer moving forward.... for her and Alec. Am I the only one side eyeing that they chose to handle this by announcing they are taking a trip at the peak of the pandemic? I mean, wut?! Just turn off the wifi and stay home.

I'm feeling exotic today and have this strong desire for an exciting new life. I think from now on, I will identify as South African and only wear jungle themed clothing and safari hats. I will of course speak with an accent.
