Um, yes we did hear Kane's side. We have heard a lot of Kane's side, and then later, much later, the side of others. 1) Sarah left seemingly more amicably and with warning...but the fact hat you lose two people who go on to work together again and again kind of highlights the obvious- working with Kane was not ideal. Sarah has also voiced frustrations about how Kane runs things and how he handles issues. 2) Mel left randomly- just disappeared and two weeks later Kane went on the air boohooing insinuating that she left with zero warning and because she was upset he wasn't paying enough attention to her, but he was too busy caring for his sick wife to give her the attention she desired. Later she comes out and says that is ridiculous, and she gave a months notice and said she would finish out her contract - they told her to just be done there. Then said she could only record a goodbye saying 1) she didnt want to wake up early anymore or 2) she was going back to school. We have only RECENTLY heard from her and that was years ago. Most people who leave are not allowed to talk where Kane can say what he wants. 3) KANE goes on air to cry randomly and air ALL of his dirty laundry about Nat. She literally wakes up one morning to calls and texts letting her know what he did. They then delete it off of the podcast so no one can play it against him and she does not really speak her side until recently either. 4) Now Danni. Not a fan but she has literally disappeared for weeks and is now saying she is not allowed to say shit. Whatever Kane says will be taken as "truth". Fortunately, after all of this, people have caught on to his shadiness so people are actually calling him out. To say we haven't heard Kane's side is RIDICULOUS. |
| Rose attempting to do Hollywood Dirt has been the worst. Tried to listen to it little but just totally zoned out. Her voice is so uninteresting and I feel the whole show is just InternJ and Kane talking to each other and Rose just in the background adding a few words in between. |
All.of.this |
True, I was assuming that her recent Twitter comments about having to keep silent meant she had outside pressure not to say anything. |
| Can someone let us know if they say they're gonna have a "family meeting"? |
| Kind of surprised they haven't said anything at all yet regarding this whole situation. No mention of a "family meeting" yet. Idk how they are going to do this. |
The poor girl can't read. |
Any chance they're just waiting until more people are on their way to work and listening? |
|
It's 7am on Monday and they have yet to even acknowledge any of it. Shocking right? I honestly think they are going to continue to pretend the listeners have the IQ of a dust mop and ignore it.
Also-I really hadn't noticed Kane slurring as much as everyone has said-but I am up and out early and maybe it gets worse as the morning wears on-but today I can barely understand him. Words keep running together. |
+1..I agree they will continue to ignore the elephant in the room. John and Peter are so cocky. |
Kane is what, eight markets? Only the DC one is in the top 10. IF the ratings have dropped over the past two years in the right demographics, iHeart could bite the bullet and end everything, and replace the show. Radio is a fickle business to begin with, and anything is possible. |
Probably. With this kind of stuff they only say it once, so if they're announcing it today then it'll be probably between the 8 and 9 am hour since that's when most people are on their way to work. Wasn't the divorce announcement around 8? And I feel like I remember the Mel announcement being towards the middle/later part of the show too. |
| Someone pleeeeeease detail out any announcement (if they actually make one). I'm at work and can't listen and you know it won't be in the podcast. |
| So if Danni is out...why are they still playing her obgyn and carpet cleaning commercials??? |
| He reminds me of conversations with my drunk friends...but I'm sober. He's stammering and slurring up a storm. |
