Just stating facts. |
I will add too that at least one, prob 2, of those 3 were on the protected list for a while. |
What is the RDS system?! Is that even something that can be legitimately related to a pathway to DCUA?! |
RDS stands for Regional Development School. It is DCUs effort to extract as much money as possible in a market that has so many eager and uneducated (in soccer), but wealthy, parents. It is a money grab, nothing more. There is practically no legitimate pathway to DCU from the RDS and anyone who says otherwise, including DCU, is absolutely lying to you. It is just another way for DCU to make money and get a larger slice of the pie that the Bethesdas, Arlington's , Alexandrias of the world are getting. It is also open to girls to give you a sense of how disconnected the RDS is from the DCU academy. |
Good thing you're not liable for slander as anonymous, so you can just say anything. My kid just did RDS and we never once were promised that this was a pathway to being on a DC United Academy team etc |
It's not slander. You are proving the point. They don't promise it as a pathway because they don't have a true pathway like other academies. Tyler Adams was identified through Red Bulls RDS program. Philly Union has several academy products that came through their PPP system. If you compare either the Red Bulls RDS system or the Philly PPP system to any DCU development system, you will be able to follow the logic in their ineptitude (I think). DCU thinks PPA will develop you. When I type this out, it is even more laughable than I imagined. I am not really sure why so many people like to raise their hand for an incompetent defense of our lazy a-- professional academy . Somebody needs to put baby in the corner.

Directly from the DCU RDS page, so stop lying man "How does my child earn consideration for a D.C. United Academy trial? Players who are successful in making the RDS program are constantly evaluated by their coaches. At the end of each season, coaches have the ability to recommend players for our D.C. United Academy" |
Oh wow, you are really serious, aren’t you? Okay, RDS is a reasonable option for you to get scouted for the DCU academy. Keep sending your kid to RDS honey. May the force be with you. |
| U16s lost to NVA. DCU is having trouble beating local teams. Whether it was kids playing up or not is irrelevant. DCU should be dominating these teams if it was worth a damn as a developer of talent. |
|
I remember this thread talking about the potential of Cavan Sullivan and one poster saying there is no way he's breaking into the first team at City. Here is a post basically saying the same thing.
https://www.goal.com/en-us/lists/cavan-sullivan-immediate-man-city-exit-two-year-european-loan-usmnt-star-mls-wonderkid/bltc1df2dfa27a6effa What does this mean for DCU??? Nothing, DCU cant compete with Union in terms of talent development.. they are two different classes of academies. |
+100 |
As a NVA parent, I notice we posted all over social media that the NVA U16 beat DCU Maybe its an oversight that no one says the NVA U16 beat the DCU U15 2:1 on a last second goal |
Or that the DCU U16 beat the NVA U17 and the DCU U17/18 beat the NVA U19 |
That goes for every MLS Next team in this area. Everyone just highlights the wins never the losses |
Saying the club is not worth a damn because kids playing up did not dominate their opponent is sad. You all need a hobby. |
