This makes it feel very real. Seeing moments like this. They should publish more of this stuff.

Great they are having fun but I think it feels even more fake because Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are also the most desperate for attention couple.

Shhhh…don’t say that bc Travis and Taylor aren’t Hollywood.

Travis and Machine Gun Kelly grew up in Cleveland together and have been friends since they were 14 years old. So…

So….you think they both aren’t Hollywood? The rapper dating a famous actress and the internationally known singer dating an NFL player. Like do y'all even hear yourselves?

The implication was that MGK was there only for publicity and that the two couples hanging out together was fake. The reality is that they are lifelong friends. Lifelong friends do tend to celebrate milestones together. That was the only point. Damn, the amount of energy you all put to something you consider fake seems really odd. Like, what's the point exactly?

DP, but no. You misunderstood. The point is that many of us don't think a cute Instagram photo with Taylor, Kelce, MGK, and Megan Fox is "authentic" because it's just a bunch of fame whores smiling for cameras. It doesn't actually matter how they know each other.

You don't take pictures with your friends? If you ran into a friend from high school right now, you wouldn't take a picture with them? What constitutes "authentic" in your book? I could see your point if they met last week, but they've known each other for 20 years. What's the definition of "authentic" then? How does one live life "authentically" according to you?

I'm not sure Taylor and Megan are "friends"

If so, here would have had to have been its terms: For the length of this “contract” you will, on your own time and dollar, attend almost every football game he plays in, even if it means flying half way around the world to do so. You will hold hands, kiss, hug, drape yourself over each other in public every chance you get, and become intimate with each other in private. Oh and be sure to act all lovey-dovey even in places where there are no cameras, like private rooms in restaurants, in case someone dares to give an eyewitness account or whips out a cell phone. You will involve your entire families and close friends to go along with the charade. After all who wouldn’t gladly give up their time and be willing to support such an important cause. You will spend every major holiday together. You will forego any chance of meeting or dating anyone else during this time. You will act like you are in love, so much so that talk of a possible engagement starts to take over the airwaves.

So all of this is happening in the name of a contracted fake relationship……seriously???

As for PR, of course there is some of that involved. There’s no way it can’t be when people of their stature become involved, but it comes as a result of the relationship, not as the cause of it.

I don’t pretend to know where this relationship will go in the long run. Maybe it goes the distance, maybe it doesn’t. All I know is what I see right now with my own eyes. I see two people who at this moment light up when they see each other, are very much into each other, in love, and having the time of their lives together. And I say good for them. And for us for however long we get to see it.

I think they actually care about each other. I also think they are attention-seeking, money-grubbing people who are exploiting the relationship for every penny it's worth, and I think that's tacky AF.

This is going to blow your mind -- I think Kim and Kanye really loved each other, too. It does not mean I viewed their relationship as inspiring or liked how they trotted it out and exploited it for clicks and cash.

When you are shallow and obsessed with fame and money, I expect it's quite easy to fall in love with a reasonably attractive and successful person who is the same. THAT is what is fake. They might actually love each other, but they are fake people performing their love for the masses in order to make money.

You are a damaged individual.

DP why are they damaged? Bc the truth hurts you? Taylor Swift isn’t like you and you aren’t like her.

LOL!! Uh. No. Damaged in that who spends this kind of time and energy dissecting a "fake" relationship of someone they clearly have disdain for? Who decides that's a good use of time? I mean, I can't stand Kanye West. I'm mad I just took 5 seconds type his name no less hang on a thread dedicated to him? What could ever be the point in that? Wallowing in negativity doesn't really seem like something a healthy individual would do. Go touch some grass, or something like that. But whatever, I don't care and taking my own advice. I'm out.

If I ran into a friend from high school right now, I would not take a photo of it and immediately post it to Instagram, no. I'd, I don't know, talk to them? Catch up?

Also, these photos were all taken at Super Bowl after parties in Vegas. For people like MGK and Megan Fox, those parties absolutely are about going to be seen. If you look at most of the footage from those parties, they don't look fun. It's a lot of people posing and vamping for phone cameras and each other. It's the most "Hollywood" possible environment. It is not just pals catching up over drinks, celebrating a life milestone. It's a scene.

They aren't. Travis and MGK are. Sort of like how she posed with Chiefs players and their girlfriends. It's no different.

I get the sense that a bunch of the posters here struggle with social relationships. They don't really know what normal social and romantic relationships look like because they don't have much experience with them. It's why they think everything is "fake". In their own lives they have had to learn the "scripts" for relationships because they don't innately understand how relationships work.

Do you think "normal" social relationships entail having a hair and makeup team prep you for an event and posing for photos with a rotating cast of famous people.

Saying this situation is fake is not a stretch. It doesn't even mean Taylor and Travis are fake. This whole evening was about as natural and un-staged as the red carpet at the Vanity Fair Oscar after party. It's a weird thing to claim is just a normal, natural social event we can all relate to.

So I didn’t know PR relationships were a thing until I started listening to a podcast called Behind the Blinds. They break a lot of the Hollywood stuff down with proof and receipts.

So to answer your question, yes. That is exactly what happens. And nothing is done “privately” bc if it were truly private how did you hear about it? Every single time Taylor is photographed, filmed, etc she is aware. Her PR manager Tree is the hardest working manager. That is Taylor’s Swift true talent, cultivating her image so that people like you think she is genuine, sweet, innocent, not bi (she def dated Karlie Kloss and Dianna Argon), and an underdog.

Sure she might actually like him somewhat but the only thing Taylor Swift loves is her image.

DP - I love that podcast! But most of those relationships they discuss are people pretty desperate to be noticed. Pryanka and Joe - she was desperate to break it in the US and Joe has been sleeping with men on the DL for years - they both had huge things to gain.

Same with Camilla and Shawn and their many coffee walks with empty cups LOL. They want to be famous.

I don’t get that T and T had that much to gain / they were successful, rich, and known. So I don’t see it. But I LOVE a good fake relationship - I just don’t think this is it.

I mean the potential motivations for Travis have always been obvious. Kelce's name recognition has absolutely skyrocketed in the last 4 months. His net worth has also shot through the roof. He didn't even have a particularly good NFL season (he's getting old and he had a mid-season injury that really limited him).

But that's why people speculate about what Taylor's motivations could be (other than liking him). She is absolutely known for having fake relationships in the past (Hiddleston was 100% a fake PR relationship). It's harder to understand why she'd do it now, though I do think the arguments about wanting to turn the page on both Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy could play into it (the timing really works there). Also, while obviously she was bigger than big before Kelce, their relationship has kept her in the public eye at a much more prominent level during a time when she was going to be on hiatus from touring and did not have an album coming out. Now the hype around her new album release is absolutely off the charts, bigger even than it would have been without Kelce. She WILL make money off of all this free PR, unquestionably.

You can say "well yeah but she's already super rich and famous, what more could she want." But I think Taylor is ambitious in this respect beyond what most of us mortals could imagine. She loves money and prestige. I remember seeing an interview with her where she was asked which song she wished she'd written but she didn't, and her answer was the theme song to Friends, because of the royalties. That's actually kind of a weird answer from a singer-songwriter! But I think reflects how much Taylor values money and exposure. So while it's hard to imagine why Taylor would want MORE fame and money from this relationship, I think this might be one of those ways in which Taylor is simply not like the rest of us. There will never be enough for her -- enough money, hits, likes, Grammys, etc.
