Letters coming home today that Ludlow-Taylor will be getting a new Principal next year. Principal Cobbs is moving on to a new position out of state. Now hopefully those who could never envision sending their child to LT based on her presence will consider our school. For those of us who appreciated the quality of the teachers she hired, lets hope there is not a drop off. Exciting times at LTES. |
We were accepted into L-T off the waitlist about a month ago. Our interactions with the school, including a tour led by the Dean where they let us spend time in the classrooms and "specials" at all levels was phenomenal. We are looking forward to the Fall. |
Wow. Well, everyone- you got your wish! |
can we get John Burst please? |
You don't need John, you just need someone who will welcome you. LT's the next Brent if they get it right. |
John Burst...absolutely not. Period. Next. |
Is there a group of parents that already knew this would happen or is everyone surprised? |
Shocked!!!! |
Wow, I'm surprised although I don't consider myself in the inner circle of things at the school. I have to say that I have a bit of trepidation now. Cobbs really did do a great job hiring staff for the school and keeping them on board. But I also welcome the opportunity for it to become more of a neighborhood school. |
Good luck charting a new (inclusive yet growth-oriented) course, LT parents! |
Who makes the hiring decision? Can parents have a voice before decisions are made? |
Hope it's someone who have advance the Reggio approach - it's good, but could be a model if led by someone trained extensively in it. |
*can* advance |
Do they anticipate having someone on board by July 1st, when the new principal contract year starts? |
There is no saying if it is going to be better or worse... |
