That is absolutely what kept schools closed. Not enough staff willing to come in. It does no one any favors for you to keep denying it.

(and FFCRA had many parts and one of them provided paid leave to teachers who claimed they couldn't find childcare for their kids, without having to prove it.)

I turned off once he started yelling. I’d tune out if I were there. I did not hear any arguments from him. Yes, I know why he’s upset but I know it before he approached the mic. Hearing him scream made me lose any empathy I had for his situation. Teachers are teaching. They want to be in the classroom. Let’s make it safe for them to be there.

I'm living in Florida temporarily. Somehow the teachers here have been teaching without issue. We've had no dead or hospitalized teachers.
