Jobs sadly delayed surgical treatment that would save him. Not pharmaceutical. By the time he gave up on the quack stiff he was past the pint of effective surgical Intervention (although he went ahead and got a loved transplant that was too late to do much).

Roosevelt knew about the Pearl Harbor attack before it happened - maybe not the exact time and date, but range. The US had broken the Japanese code. Reasons they did nothing about it:

- he needed a reason to get the US into WWII

- if you start moving ships around, Japanese know you broke the code. They did a cost/benefit analysis and determined more lives would be saved if you just like them sink some old battleships.

I think he’s the one bringing up random old threads. Like when someone suddenly decides they must comment on a thread about a family fight that was posted in 2016. I think it’s to keep slow boards moving and to push threads he doesn’t like off the first page.

How inhumane would it be if there were a cure for cancer and it were only available to people that could afford it? Would that lead to class warfare? Also, if cancer is a (unfortunate) form of population control, what would be the impact on society and the economy if everyone started suddenly living longer?
