Girls:
Anne, Elizabeth, Sarah, Sophia, Catherine, Amelia, Charlotte, Isla, Mary, Victoria, Alexandra

Boys:
Phillip, Charles, William, James, Edward, Henry, George, David, Andrew, Arthur, Richard, John

Don’t think isla really goes on that list

She's trying to slip in DD's name and claim UC.

I know a kid with this name.

Pharoah or Pharaoh?
To me it sounds a bit uneducated rather than pretentious, sadly.

Ok, please inform Princess Anne that her granddaughter Isla Phillips has been given a MC or LC name, lol!

I think Isla’s sister is Savannah…a decidedly not UC name.

It's the name of the dd of the family that was in Blindside. It just sounds pretentious.

Agreed. I know a girl Colin and the family definitely means to sound wealthy when they are not.

+1. This is a name I think Cardi B. would like for her third after Kulture and Wave. It's...whatever, but it doesn't say "upper crust society" to me.

The men that I work with that are named Jesus are called Chewy as nicknames.

Pretty sure their nicknames aren’t spelled that way. It’s usually Chuy or Chuey.

Also upper class/royalty does not automatically equal pretentious. Do you know what pretentious means?

I was friends with a girl with this name. She moved to Cali and went on reality TV.

A brief skim through this thread shows that most of you have no idea what "pretentious" means.

Ridiculous does not equal pretentious.
Generic, Christian names do not equal pretentious.

Pretentious is "expressive of affected, unwarranted, or exaggerated importance, worth, or stature."

You're welcome.
