If girls are waiting to commit is it because they have to visit the school? Or is it because they are waiting to hear from a school they like better? If that is the case, for the school they like better wouldn’t that school have contacted them on September 1st and they should know or not if the school likes them? Or is it possible the school hasn’t contacted them at all yet but the player is hoping to hear from them as recruits accept and decline?

They don’t “offer later,” with few exceptions they take kids that didn’t get the D1 offer they wanted. Almost no one chooses Middlebury over Yale, they end up there after Yale passes.
