What is "this" exactly? Taking control of the DC police and deploying the national guard are temporary measures. It may make you feel better in the short term, but it is not a longterm solution. Do you want to see the federal government take permanent control of DC?

I live in a very safe suburb in NoVA. Some of our stores have locked-up merchandise as well. It's not a DC-specific thing.
