NP here and not an SR family. Unfortunately that’s the tone in 90% of all private schools now, including ours. Most of these administrators are virtue signaling latte socialists who have not been personally affected with the high crime rate and homicides in our nation’s capital, as it disproportionately affects poor people of color.

I think the HOS is amazing and does a very good job balancing the various interests. I don't think the letter was political at all.

Remember, this is a Catholic girls school. Of course there is going to be virtue signaling. She follows the teachings of the Pope. So yes, school has some progressive leanings.

The HOS has detractors clearly, but she is very well respected and well liked by the overwhelming majority of students and parents. She is very professional and personable (and went to SR herself, so really bonds with the girls).

Yes agree SR is a great school. My oldest got into a great college. We just don't appreciate the constant virtue signaling. Many parents agree with me.

You’re nuts. We live in a “posh” area and there are national guards all over the place. The letter was awesome. The school is even better than I had hoped. Just goes to show that this board is full of crap and haters.

Families applying this year, we are so looking forward to welcoming you! I’m a new to the school but not new to the private school scene and this is the most welcome we have ever felt. Still taking it all in becuase it’s a lot. They really hit the ground running not only in terms of events, but class work too! I am blown away by the reception🥹
