How will DOGE cutting cost govt more? Sounds like some spun up journalism school type BS to me. What does it take to think this crap up? No. In your eyes, there's not a single thing in govt that can be cut absent defense, whose budget is now superceded in size alone by interest payments on the debt. You best hope DOGE is successful or we'll be looking Venezuela. Don't expect to tax me 90% of my pay, cuz I will quit and let this place burn and so will everyone else. The DC shenanigans are coming to a head. It's just math. |
Most of our country is financialized and paper wealth. It can easily move overseas if you think you can just ride it until the wheels fall off. Billionaires and jealousy seem to be the only thing in your vocabulary. You saw what happened to Flint, Michigan and then Detroit greater when people exited. Now think of us, globally. Don't think that can't happen. Pride/fall... you know. |
Price of eggs and gas are down. Looking good. |

When we talk about people lacking critical thinking skills, this is exactly what we mean. Can you really not see how making random and arbitrary cuts to jobs, programs, and services will cost more in the long run? Please just take a few minutes to really think it through. Would it save you money if I walked into your house and decided to help you out by randomly trashing things and cancelling everything you are billed for? Those things cost you money, so surely I am saving you money by getting rid of them, right? No, you say? It will actually cost you more money and time to replace even just the essentials? Ok, put on that thinking cap and apply that to government. And you are wrong about us being anti spending cuts. Sit down and talk to any government employee, and ask them if they would like to see their agency be more efficient and cut spending without sacrificing the mission. I guarantee you every single one of them will say yes. They will even give you some thoughts on how that can be accomplished. We all pay taxes. We all like the idea of paying less taxes without sacrificing the lifestyle that our government helps provide for us. If doge would actually take the time to talk to the agencies and investigate the spending, it could be helpful. But they can’t be bothered with all that work, so they go with the chainsaw instead. |
One way the cuts will cost the government more is that they cut IRS agents who will no longer be there to collect money for the government. It's really basic, stupid stuff. |
I personally have already experienced an IRS screw up, where they sent us a refund for thousands of dollars instead of cashing our payment. Never happened before. |
They need to take the billionaires so that they’re only multimillionaires. Nobody needs to be a billionaire. They have long lost the sense of noblesse oblige. #eatthebillionaires |
Tax not take. |
I was never a govt employee. I was a contractor on site at several federal customers. Damn little ever got done. Everything required years and years of discussion, group hugs and endless layers of mgmt approval. Far too many gatekeepers and people vested in stopping initiatives. They bragged about protecting turf and interdepartmental and interagency fights. One time a two thousand dollar bulb in a conference room projector burned out and they fought for half a year on which dept/line item it would be charged to. Two to three hour meetings of dozens of people earning 75-100 an hour getting nothing done. It's everywhere. And legendary re-orgs every three months with new department logo contests. It was debilitating to see our missions diluted to nothingness. Don't tell me it doesn't happen. I saw it at three different customers first hand. Slash and burn whole layers of chair warmers. It's the only way at this point. These are useless, ineffective organizations today. |
Murder rates in the US is down 20% ytd as compared to the same time in 2024. |
You think it’s bad now? Just wait. We are going to have another banking/financial crisis. |
You know how many fpreign billionaires there are here? Do that. The nalloon will go.up and capital will mass exit. It'll feel good for about 30 seconds, moron. Then reputation sinks and reality hits. Everyone with 2 brain cells to rub together leaves. This is a competitive global economy. You didn't get the message? |
